I created a movie project in MyDVD 6 and saved to hard drive.
I upgraded to MyDVD 8 so I can edit this video, however, MyDVD 8 doesn't open the MyDVD 6 project.
Do I have to do something special to open this project?
Thanks.

Sonic MyDVD 6 projects are not forward compatible to Roxio MyDVD 8. You'll either have to finish the project in V6, or start over in V8.

Related question: Do you know off hand if V8 is backward compatible to any previous version(s)?

Not for MyDVD app. MyDVD 8 was the first one following the purchase of Roxio by Sonic. It has a new re-written engine.

Ok, I see. Thank you.
