No. The product you listed is for authoring dvd video discs only.

I don;t believe you can create a bootable dvd disc, only cd disc. Someone else may know more about that tho and offer advise, but in any case, you need a different product to create a bootable disc.

As i mentioned, I don't think you can make a bootable dvd, only cd. Maybe someone else knows if it's possible and if so, with what. Easy Media Creator V8 & V9 will both make bootable cd's.

According to the help files EMC8 will make both.If it does I would imagine V9 does also.I don't have V9 on my work machine so I can't verify that.

Perhaps I am failing to navigate the help files in EMC8 properly as I have not located the info you make reference to ("According to the help files EMC8 will make both") -
Could you direct me ?

tcc709,
You need to clarify which product you have. In your initial post, you stated you have MyDVD 8 Premiere, is that correct?
The product needed to do this is Easy Media Creator 8 (a.k.a EMC8) or EMC 9.

This answer to your good question is going to sound evasive. The product label is titled MyDVD 8 Premeire while the Help About radio button returns both titles and is subtitled Easy Media Creator 8 (Build 805B68J ENU)

Not evasive at all. Just the information we needed :)
That would mean you have the EMC 8 suite of apps, not just MyDVD. That's good, because you have what you need. Open up the Help and go to the Content area, and you will find the info in the section I've noted in the attached picture.

Many thanks to both Larry and tbrewst -
I am embarrassed to have not been more able to locate this information on my own.

Your welcome, and good lick with your project.
And don't be embarrassed, we've all done something similar at one time or another :)
