Is is possible to create a custom overlay in photoshop and then use it in Videowave 7? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks in advance!

If you save it as a .jpeg or .bmp, it should be no problem at all.

Got it. Thank you very much! I was loosing my transparency when I was bringing in a .png file, but I've figured it out.

Thanks again!

Here's my next question.

Now that I've got my overlay in the timeline view, I would like to add text to individual slides in the storyline view, but the text appears below the overlay. Is it possible to re-order so the text appears on the top without having to do it in the timeline view (so i don't have to adjust the lenght every time I add text).

Is it possible to add Overlays to the content folder inside of the application so that they appear with all of the original overlays?

Thanks again!

I'm not quite certain what you mean.   However, in the Storyline view, you can drag and drop the text to each individual slide.

You can do it in the Timeline also by adding the text to the Internal track.  Click on the slide, then click on the icon with the pencil and choose Edit Internal Tracks.   Then add the text.

You can move the text around by choosing Edit/ Text or double clicking on the text block in the production.

In the Overlay Editor, there is an icon in the upper left hand corner that will let you save the overlay with a name you choose.    The new overlay will appear at the bottom of the overlays included with the program.

You can also save custom text in the text editor.

Hope that helps.

You're welcome.

You have no idea how long it took me to figure out how to save custom overlays and text.  :)
Sharing the information so that others don't have to figure it out the hard way is my main reason for hanging out here.
