While I was trying to use Back-Up MyPC program when I install Easy Media Creator 9, I keep getting a "drvwddm.dll" even when the EMC 9 requested me to reinstall. Please help because I would really like to use this program to back up my system[size=6] :)

That is a driver file that BUMP uses. You can try a repair of your install from the Control Panel or an Uninstall/Reinstall.Take a look at this threada before you do.

Did you try copying or moving the file like someone in that thread posted?Have you done a search of your harddrive to see if it exists at all on your machine?I'm using V8 on my machine at work and that file is in C:\Program files\Sonic\Backup MyPC\System.I would imagine it's in the same place in V9 but I"m not sure about that.

Hmmm, that's a strange one.I'm not sure what else if the fixes in that thread don't work. And a Reinstall doesn't work either.Sorry I don't have any other suggestions.

I'm not clear on whether or not you found the dll on your system or not. If you did, you could try registering it manually. the following is an example of how to do that. Just change the path to match where it is on your drive.

regsvr32 C:\Program files\Sonic\Backup MyPC\System\drvwddm.dll

I'm having the same problem and try the work around wuth no avail...How do you "register it manually"? Where do I change the this path? The file "drvwddm.dll" is located in my C:\Program Files\Roxio\Backup MyPC\System.

Thanx in Advance :)

To register it manually in your case, you go to Start -> Run and paste the following into there and run it.

regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Roxio\Backup MyPC\System\drvwddm.dll

I also have the missing .dll error. The file is actually in place as above, and the program works if I call it from the Start menu or by clicking on sbewin32.exe

I did exactly as above. It found the file, but I got an error message that said an "entry point" could not be found, so the file was not registered.

I also had that problem and am glad I checked this thread. I found that I can start the backup by going to it through the start menu. I wonder if a short cut on the desk top to the executable would work. Thanks for the tip!!!
