Photo not sharp Dvd slide show

I am having a problem fiquring out how to correct not very sharp or blurry pictures in my dvd slide show presentations. The pics are sharp when I start and not when I am finished. I don't know if there is some kind of compression going on. :)

I have spent hours trying to figure this out. Did you ever get an anwer or it figured out? :)
