I had MyDVD6 pre-installed on my HP 7250n PC and was happy. But version 8 looked better so after a few months I "upgraded". However, since then I had problems burning DVDs not only in version 8 but also in MyDVD6 and Media Center.

I noticed the following process es in task manager and ended them:
RoxMediaDB.exe
RoxWatch.exe
RoxWatchTray.exe

I also notice the following in the services tab (run services.msc)
RoxUpnpServer

Killing these processes seem to help burning DVDs using Media Center. So I uninstalled version 8. Before re-installing version 8 I would like to know which apps cause these processes to run and if it is possible to disable them?

One other mystery is that when I move video (DVD folder) files from my primary ntfs drive to anouther drive it tells me that some ":Afp_AfpInfo:$DATA" information data cannot be copied. Of what use is this tagged data and case problems. And it is not essential can it be disabled.

My main use for this application is burning DVDs from TV programs captured in Media Center and videos from my camcorder. Given what I have read in this forum I probably don't want to re-install DragToDisk and maybe MediaManager.

Do you have any opinion on which version 8 applications are usefull and which are better not installed?

The 1st three you mention are components of Media Manager. If you look down on the task bar you should see the icon for Media Manager Services. If you right click on it you can check "Stop watching folders".A better way is to double click on it,click on stop at the top of the screen and uncheck "Watch folders at startup".A third altenative is to use msconfig from the "Run" portion of the start button and go to the startup tab and uncheck it there. That will keep it from running everytime you start your machine.

The UPnP is needed if you are going to use the Live Share feature. You can likewise disable this in msconfig.

Thanks for the question and answer, I have the same problem. I got the first 3 handled, however I can't find the UPnP thing in msconfig. Any ideas?
thanks, Sodapop.
