I had MyDVD6 pre-installed on my HP 7250n Media Center PC. I read in anouther post that they uninstalled a prior version before installing EMC-8. Is this required? I don't remeber any such prompt when running the install program.
MyDVD6 is in a "Sonic" folder of Program Files while EMC 8 is in a "Roxio" folder. So they are totaly seperate in terms of application files. But since EMC 8 clearly has caused problems writing DVDs with MyDVD6 (and has problems itself) are there common driver files in a system directory that EMC 8 replaces.
And if I do have to uninstall MyDVD 6 to get EMC 8 to work can I re-install MyDVD 6 later? Since EMC8 cannot import video I need to keep using MyDVD for this purpose unless uninstalling MyDVD 6 allows EMC8 to import video from my pre-installed Hauppauge Win TV capture card.

Can MyDVD6 and EMC-8 co-exist?
