Easy Cd & Dvd 6 Does Not Detect Drive

Recently, my hard drive crashed. This drive worked with this software at that time, but since installing everything on a new hard drive, the Piodata drive is not recognized by Easy CD & DVD 6.
I have tried going to the Roxio supported drives page (http://rpp.roxio.com...pported_drives) but the site has been down for at least four days. I have upgraded the firmware for the Piodata drive to ver 1.18.
I also have a second HD with Linux OS installed. I have been able to use the Piodata drive to burn a CD from within Linux, so I know the burner is working.
Any suggestions? I have tried the options from another similar topic problem, but the user was using Windows XP, and the options are not the same.

Try going into the Software Update's (left isde on this page). Make sure you get the right download, Basic or Platinum (you did not say which you had).

Try uninstall/re-install
Go into your add/remove programs and remove Roxio.......then use this Roxio utility called Roxizap that you can use to remove all remnants of Roxio/Adaptec software for you. Caution, I understand it may also remove registry entries for GoBack, so if you have that installed, uninstall it first, then re-install after running roxizap.
You can get roxizap here: http://tools.roxio.c...ols/roxizap.exe
then re-install from your installation disc.
If you require any updates you know were they are.

Thanks, I will give it a try. I have uninstalled and re-installed a few times already, but have not used that utility. Will post results here after I have done it.

I used 'Roxizap' and re-booted. I also checked registry entries uning Norton Utilities. It still found numerous references to the program, so I had them deleted.
Bottom line, the program works now.
Thanks for your help, OGDENS.
