Historically, Roxio, and Adaptec before them, did not concern themselves with being backwards compatible, at least with their Creator application. Most releases were not compatible with the prior release build files. The ability to open such files with subsequent versions always fell on deaf ears.

I used the Registry Editor in Windows 10 to fix the problem after many links online failed to help. Here is the progression: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Roxio\EMC15\Label Creator\Settings. Go to ShowDVDCaseOutlines and double click or right click and select "Open". Change the value from "0" to "1" and restart Roxio Label Creator.

At least you can adjust the video title and move it around. What is needed is to be able to change the size of the text and font and it would be complete.. If that is possible, at least it would be considered more customizable. You can change the background picture, change the music, but no text changes. Probably the program was written a long time ago (from the looks of the menu template) and no one knows now the coding anymore or the coders are now gone or retired. What would be a great help is to be able to delete from a template the video window playing parts of the video as an option. The best would be to be able to just have a template that is nothing and you can add your own background, music and text font (including changing the size). JUST one template like that would make this program the "go to" for DVD and Blu-ray creation.

PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS LESS A QUESTION AND MORE OF A KB ARTICLE! RECOMMEND DOING THIS BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING ELSE; WORKS 99% OF THE TIME FOR ME! When I have issues with Toast on any version dating back to Toast 14 (Mac), forums, discussion groups and even chatting with Corel/Roxio Support will waste time and ultimately take me to the same resolution. Before checking anything else, do the following below: You'll need your Toast Serial Key (located on your CD/DVD or via email from purchasing online). Without it, might as well contact Corel/Roxio to get another copy of it. Quit Toast Application. Open Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Preferences. Locate and trash the following files (some may not exist if never used): “com.roxio.ScreenCapture.plist”"com.roxio.toast.plist""com.roxio.Toast.LSSharedFileList.plist""com.roxio.MyDVD.plist""com.roxio.videoplayer.plist"“com.roxio.videoplayer.LSSharedFileList.plist”“com.corel.Toast-Audio-Assistant.plist” Empty your trash and reboot your Mac. Login and open Toast. You'll be prompted for serial key, then most problems solved. If that doesnt work, check for updates. Otherwise, this will fix 99% of your issues! Hope this is helpful!

I have an MP4 video of me performing stand-up comedy at a comedy club. My voice is buried somewhat behind the room noises, audience, etc. Is there any way to enhance my voice using Video Ware or any other tool in Creator NXT 6? Thanks.

I found the drop down menu in the upper left-hand corner. I selected Blu-Ray and the coding changed to MPEG4.

I don't think you can download it, only stream it with a registered device. Have a read around here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GW3PHAUCZM8L7W9L

The only alternative to Gracenote is FreeDB.org, but I don’t think Toast can be changed to make use of that, but some stand-alone tagger applications may be able to set such. Does it work better if you use Toast’s Media Browser instead of drag-and-drop of the mounted disc through the Finder? That should help getting the information directly from iTunes.

Sorry for the delay, I saw it then promptly forgot about your post ~ playing the age card here I just tried it in FastFlick as well as VideoWave and do not get any distortion either in playback while in the editors or playing the file I created with the editors. That is of no use to you in resolving your issues... I will ask some of the other gurus to take a look and see if they can help resolve this with you.

Problem is that Jim has only just installed, and has run into the problem before he has had time to use the suite. It doesn't seem that a clean uninstall is likely to help him at this point, and there may be something wrong with the program as delivered.

Audio CDs are written differently to disc compared to Data CDs, and that gives a information density advantage (2352 bytes/sector vs. 2048 bytes/sector), meaning 86 minutes of 44.1 kHz 16-bit stereo PCM audio take up 910 MB on your hard disk, but that is comparable to the same amount of CD-R sectors as 793 MB of data, hence fitting on 800 MiB discs. If your audio files total more than that 910 MB (868 MiB), then perhaps some of those files are not 44.1 kHz 16-bit stereo. Toast, and most Audio-CD burning apps, will convert audio to that specification. There is no need for intermediate conversions. Standard Audio CDs are always uncompressed. (Some players may be able to play compressed files from a data CD, though.) You should trust the “90 mins” for the disc as really having (close to) that capacity for Audio CD. However, 90 minute CD-R is non-standard, and Toast may or may not be able to use its full capacity: it may register as lesser duration and I think Toast has no ‘overburn’ capability (write data beyond registered limit).
