I chatted with support and there's no date on when (or if) Roxio will update this software to 64-bit so it even has a chance of running under macOS Catalina 10.15. I imagine most people who are having problems are having them because there have been seven years of Mac OS updates since the last update. If anyone wants to continue to use this product, like me, it might take everyone's request for programming time to update/fix this product. If Corel is not interested in maintaining this product (they still sell it but don't maintain it), does anyone know of a different product that works?

I have an MP4 video of me performing stand-up comedy at a comedy club. My voice is buried somewhat behind the room noises, audience, etc. Is there any way to enhance my voice using Video Ware or any other tool in Creator NXT 6? Thanks.

Is it just me or is anyone else having an issue with customer support? Has anyone been able to contact anyone directly? This has got to be the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I want to be able to use the software that I have paid for. Very frustrating as you cannot contact Technical Support directly! I have been a customer and used ROXIO for many years. It is risky to purchase software from them anymore as you don't know if it will install and there is no customer support. And you are at their mercy as to when they will contact you via email for assistance. There is no one to contact to report unacceptable customer service. I purchased a new computer and want to install Creator NXT 6. It had been installed on my old computer. I get the error message that the key has been used too many times. I contacted customer support chat and I provided them with the date I purchased the software, order number and serial key. They told me I will be contacted via email from technical support (no time estimate given) and that there is no way to contact anyone direct, only through email. I also recently purchased Creator NXT 7 Pro to install on my laptop. The program installed but I could not use AfterShot3 due to an error "Serial Number invalid". Same thing, contacted customer service and gave them all of my information and had to wait several days for an email from technical support. Had to reply with all the information again. It takes several days for them to reply to your emails after sending the requested information. I was set up for a "Remote Session". The day I tried to log on to the remote session I immediately got an error the code they provided had expired and to contact technical support for a new code. I called, I emailed my support person and I also chatted and was told I would be contacted by my support person via email with a new code. I asked when they would be sending it and they said "soon". Never got one. The next email from support was that they were closing my ticket due to no response. I have been emailing them for over a month now and my problem is still not resolved.

I found the drop down menu in the upper left-hand corner. I selected Blu-Ray and the coding changed to MPEG4.

I don't think you can download it, only stream it with a registered device. Have a read around here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GW3PHAUCZM8L7W9L

Why are you even using VHS2DVD for "Capturing" from a DVD? Simply use Windows Explorer to copy from the DVD to your hard drive!

I haven’t confirmed this for v17, but for a long list of previous versions: you could save a project as a Disk Image file, which would get the .toast extension. If you rename that in Finder to .iso, then you’ll find that is is compatible with many Windows burning software. It won’t make your PC read the Mac file system (HFS/HFS+/APFS), but for DVD-Video (UDF file system) that is not an issue.

Hi Lamberto, Firstly, may I suggest you change your log-in name to something else than your email address. These forums are scanned by all sorts of 'bots which harvest addresses, and I would hate to see yours harvested and sold to someone who will pester you with lots of spam emails. Videowave in NXT 7 claims to deal with .MTS files, and a large number of other formats. Here is the file input area . . . Since I don't have any .MTS files to test with, would you please attach one or two small ones (just a couple of seconds will do) to a reply, so that I can test that Videowave itself is faulty and not just something wrong with your machine? Regards, Brendon

They are still there in Toast 17 - you just have to turn them back on in Preferences. Preferences -> Audio tab -> tick "Show advanced audio mastering settings". - Mike J

Historically, Roxio, and Adaptec before them, did not concern themselves with being backwards compatible, at least with their Creator application. Most releases were not compatible with the prior release build files. The ability to open such files with subsequent versions always fell on deaf ears.

Jaikoz gets data from Musicbrainz, for instance. The same site also has SongKong, which might help out. See: http://www.jthink.net/jaikoz/

The only alternative to Gracenote is FreeDB.org, but I don’t think Toast can be changed to make use of that, but some stand-alone tagger applications may be able to set such. Does it work better if you use Toast’s Media Browser instead of drag-and-drop of the mounted disc through the Finder? That should help getting the information directly from iTunes.

If you import your music from iTunes, then the tracks can already have meta data from Gracenote. Stand-alone meta data taggers can consult Gracenote/CDDB to add the information details to the tracks.

I had this message come up in MY DVD on the old computer and that and other issues with Roxio had me update my 8 year old box. This still happens on the new machine at times and like the old, the only solution seems to be rebooting the computer. The specs on my new computer are: Intel Core i7-8700 Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6GHz Turbo LGA1151 300 Series 65W BX80684i78700 Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz (PC4-21300) C16 Memory Kit - Black Samsung 960 EVO Series - 500GB NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E500BW) I didn't get a video or sound card (yet), but see no reason why this causes problems as I have a pretty screaming machine now. The video (today's at least) is over an hour long and I am trying to burn a disc image prior to burning to DVD. Any ideas? I would rather get it to stop doing that, than to have to reboot and try again. Thanks.

Many of you have had issues with creating PhotoShows. It is broken and won;t be fixed. Some people have asked if there was another program similar to PhotoShow. I finally found one Corel's Fast Flicks. It will take both images (photos) and some videos ! It is cheap, easy and has pretty much everything PhotoShow has except for the web site to share the Shows. If you use social media, then that is not a problem. I use YouTube (up to about 15 minute shows) and have them unlisted so only those I that I send the link to can see the. Watch the Fast Flicks Fast Flick as a stand alone cost $15 to $20 depending on if it is on sale or comes included with Corel's Video Studio X7 or with Roxio's Creator NXT 3. There are only a few templates available but more are available. (example). I have not searched for others (sale page) Here are the specs. For some reason, the image is very small but I can read it: I can;'t find another image of this. Video input can be AVCHD, Mpg2, Mov and others. More to come.

Computer builders often use the same model number for an entire line of computers. Each computer in that line may have different options relating to the CPU (central processing unit), the GPU (graphics processing unit). the optical drives, the hard drives, the amount of memory, the operating system and more. I am too old to remember how to determine combinations and permutations (do they still teach that? ). The capabilities of the computer determine how well programs run. It is often used for gaming but is also useful for determining computer performance for Roxio/Corel programs. There is a quick way of providing that information in one text file. You may be asked for it when someone tries to help diagnose a problem. That method is called dxdiag.exe and is a built-in program for all Windows Operating Systems. Note that there is no personal information in that text file other than what you called your computer. You can block that from being seen. A proactive posting of the dxdiag file will help other users offer solutions to you problem Here is a link to a good article by EA Arts (Gaming company). Ignore the part about reading the information (and the images) and just use the "Save all Information" tab so you will save the file and be able to attach it to your thread. Hint, save the file to your desktop so you can find it easily. Note that this works for all Versions of WINDOWS including Windows 8 and 10. When you are making your reply to a user asking for that information, click on the "More Reply Options" at the bottom of the reply box. Type in the information you want to post with the dxdiag file. Select "Choose File" navigate to the file and click on it, the file name will appear next to the "Choose File" box. Click on the "Attach This File" just below "Choose File". The file will be uploaded to the site and will appear in your post when you complete your post. Note that you can add additional files such as a screen grab using the "Choose file" process. DO NOT upload the contents for the dxdiag file; just the file itself.

Thank you for your reply. I am perplexed however about Roxio/Corel's "honesty". I paid $25 for a One-Time Priority Support. The reply email I received from Ralf Jayrald Corel Customer Support Services asked me to post to this Toast 12 site. I didn't understand why but I so posted. I assumed I would have a dialog with a Roxio/Corel employee to discuss my issue/problem. Today when I checked the status on my Priority Support request I see it is marked Closed and I never had a reply from a Roxio employee, for which I paid $25. I wrote a reply to an email from their "support" asking about such but they have not replied. I see by my invoice that Roxio has an address in Funchal - Madeira, Portugal. I wonder about corporate "core competency" if the only reply to my $25 request is a well meaning guess from a fellow Toast-user. I naively hoped there would be a responsible employee that would know where metadata is hidden on my computer. Let the buyer beware for Roxio products.... regards
