Hey guys, New here and can’t find a solution or answer for what I am trying to do. I am recording fine using the switch, but I ideally want to use a headset whilst still recording game audio and allowing me to use voice chat. I know the switch will only allow one signal not both. Is there a way I can use the headphone out on the switch to my game cap pro while still allowing the game cap pro to use hdmi for the video? For example could I get a Y splitter and use one for headphones and run one to game cap pro audio in with relevant RCA adaptor, then hdmi out to tv? Or will the game cap only allow the one source I.e hdmi in, no audio in or audio in, no hdmi. Thanks in advance.

Yes, your fix works! I don't understand why but it works exactly at you outline in your steps above. Thank you so much for figuring this out and sharing with us!

At least you can adjust the video title and move it around. What is needed is to be able to change the size of the text and font and it would be complete.. If that is possible, at least it would be considered more customizable. You can change the background picture, change the music, but no text changes. Probably the program was written a long time ago (from the looks of the menu template) and no one knows now the coding anymore or the coders are now gone or retired. What would be a great help is to be able to delete from a template the video window playing parts of the video as an option. The best would be to be able to just have a template that is nothing and you can add your own background, music and text font (including changing the size). JUST one template like that would make this program the "go to" for DVD and Blu-ray creation.

SUCCESS! I have spent the last 7 hours trying different combinations of settings to see if I can actually get a Blu Ray burned from a file that was created in OBS for Mac. I have included screenshots of the settings I used and when I was done massaging it, I was able to bring it into Toast 18 and it actually showed the correct file size and then I was able to burn a working Toast Disc Image and it DID NOT try and re-encode the file. I recorded it as .mkv as you can see in the settings.. then Using the program MKVtools, I changed the audio to AC3, 448 bit rate and saved it back to disk. Then I used tsMuxerGUI to convert it from .mkv to .m2ts and saved it back out. It seems that Toast doesn't like 30fps videos because it's looking for the NTSC default 29.97 fps. UPDATE: One thing I've noticed is now when I click on edit, the video isn't viewable, but the BluRay burns and plays just fine. When you click on EDIT in Toast Pro 17 it does show the video where you can set in and out marks for the burn. Seems like it's a V18 issue. Toast 17.4 (5589) Update Kills viewing video in the edit screen! I'm thinking the same thing happened in V18. I just successfully burned a Dual Layer Blu Ray with 28Gig of data on it. I hope these settings might give others some insight on how to get Toast 18 to work for them. Matt

That only allows you to change the background image I do believe. UPDATE: Just dragged and dropped a modified photoshop menu file and it only saves a 1 layer image.

I just paid for Toast 18 on Aug. 17 from the Corel online store. Less than one month later, Toast 19 came out and I am told I have to pay again for it and there is no free upgrade? I literally know of no other software company that does not give free upgrades to customers who purchase just before a major upgrade. This is a real scam. I will be telling my 500+ Mac support clients not to buy Toast any more.

i bought (and got burned by the qualify of) Toast 18 four months ago.. Now I'm supposed to pay 99 bucks again? If they want to give me a free upgrade I'll try it.. but I'm not paying the 99 bucks again.

I have it and the Pro Res problem is fixed. Now I can burn files from Final Cut X. I got it as an payed upgrade to Toast 18 Pro.

I see there is now a Toast 19. Has anyone tried it? Have they solved the issues we have all been experiencing in this thread? Is it unrealistic to expect a free upgrade to Version 19 in order to solve our dilemma? ;-p Matt

I know this is many years later, but stopping "verify data" also fixed this for me. Problem started with a dodgy disc. It's gone since I altered that. Thanks!

Hello, This is an English language bulletin board, but I am guessing that you are saying the size of the text in some of your Roxio displays is too small. If that is true, please go to your Windows settings and look to "change the size" of your text. Make sure "Scale and layout" is set to 100%. If you cannot find this setting, please come back here and tell us what Operating System you are using, so that we can lead you to the setting.

EMC10 uses a system that Roxio called the PX Engine to recognize and link with your optical drive(s). I think yours may have been broken by something. Please read this topic. Start at the 6th message on that thread, written by Guru cdanteek, and follow his instructions precisely. His message contains a zipped PXEngine installer, and instructions on how to run that installer with the "/pxhelponvista" parameter. (Even if you're not running in Vista) Using this to reinstall your PX Engine should fix your problem. It has helped a large number of users.

Don't you ever get rid of old files? Free space, especially on your system drive may be a problem You should get rid of the programs/files you don't use anymore. Take a look at the error messages near the bottom of that txt file. There are a lot probably related to disc space. There are also some related to Roxio which may be giving you some of the problems you are experiencing. Other than that, the computer will run the program. You may want to look at some of the posts related to multicam editing on the Corel Users group. Go here and look around.

I figure I need to remind readers what is happening - and to make sure this thread stays active. In attempting to resolve this problem, I made it through to Level 2 technical support where they remotely accessed my computer. They were at a loss to correct it. Suggestions even included I use the "clean audio" function - to modify hardware vs software rendering, and included the old standby update drivers, etc. I am able to replicate the problem on a Win 8.1 machine, Windows 10, and Windows 7. All have the poor audio where the audio edited is greater than 15 or so minutes. This occurs on differing hardware (one is my macbook on duel boot). I had attempted so many fixes they had to reset my permitted number of installs. After a great deal of work, I have managed to discover how the problem can be replicated and reviewed: 1) Change the Proxy Files location to an easy to get to folder so you can detect when the proxy files have completed rendering. 2) I delete all proxy files. 3) When a video file is first loaded - playback is fine. (Rendering at this point will result in corrupt audio in the final result). 4) For every video edit, VideoWave creates an audio proxy file in the Proxy Files location. When the proxy file is finished I save the production - enter a new production, then reload the saved production. This will then cause VideoWave to access the proxy file. If you listen to the proxy file in a different program, like VLC, the audio is corrupted and distorted. 5) Once reloaded - the audio for the file beyond around 7-10 minutes is corrupted. 6) Even more interesting is that if I delete the proxy file and reload the production, the sound is fine - until the proxy file is created and the production reloaded. 7) Once reloaded the audio is once again corrupt. There is something wrong in how Roxio VideoWave transcodes the audio portion of the video files improperly. I believe the settings they pass to ffmpeg are incorrect, but are hardcoded into VideoWave. I have used many different file formats and the result is the same. -LeeTXJD

Cassette deck output worked... had a few glitches with the software, but I'm up & running... I noticed the Video side uses the output from the VHS player, so this does make sense. But Roxio could improve the instructions.... Should say Cassette Deck, not Stereo Receiver. Thank you!

I tried a couple of things but still could not get NXT 4 to do that... Sadly a lot of good things were dropped There is still one backdoor approach, didn't try it yet, but it is there! Create your Project in VideoWave and Export As to a file at the same quality as you want (dvd = 720 X 480 @ 8-9 kbps) Add that file into Copy & Convert. Choose DVD for output and don't check the option for Menus Another benefit of using Copy & Convert is that without Menus, it will be a looping DVD! Disadvantage is that it is limited to DVD

Looks like turning off verify data fixed the problem. I guess I don't need it anyway. Thanks for your help.

Hi Hawk - Looks like you've done some effective troubleshooting. I couldn't find any references to firmware for this drive. It looks like your burn is going OK till you get to lead out. Try some of these basic and advanced settings in Toast that I pulled from page 27 of the Toast Manual: Reduce your recording speed. Don't "Verify Data" Make sure "Buffer Underrun Prevention" is on. Since a few days the search for updates within Roxio pro 18 ends with following error message : Error while updating! An error occurred while loading the update information. Please try again later. - Is it because the server is down ( for days ) ? - Or is something wrong with the app and i have to do a new, clean installation ? Do anyone else have the same problem ? ( by the way : I am from Germany ) Greetings ... Klaus
