Video Capture Usb Not Recognized Anymore.

Great! So it's either the poorly constructed, crappy device, or the poorly constructed, crappy cable!

Hey Kelly, Nope, the USB device is a little plastic piece of garbage, my warranty is too old, I'm going to have to buy a new device (and you can bet it's NOT going to be a Roxio product!).

Thanks for replying, Yes I did both, simple restart and then a full shut down let rest for 5 minutes and start up again. Neither worked. I also tried it on my wife's laptop, and it worked for a brief moment (the software windows came up) but with the slightest jiggle of the laptop, the windows disappeared to be replace by the familiar message: "Please connect your Easy VHS to DVD Capture hardware to any USB 2.0 port." I think it has to be the actual USB device at this point that is not functioning.

Thank you for replying, I did try restarting my Mac, no change. I am using "Easy VHS to DVD", and yes I did install the update, still no change. I am running OS 10.5.8 Like I stated above, the product worked fine the first two times I used it. By my third attempt, the computer was not recognizing that the USB device was connected.
  5. When I first bought it, I successfully used my Capture device a couple of times, but one day I tried connecting the device and upon starting the Roxio program, I got a message saying to "Please connect your Easy VHS to DVD Capture hardware to any USB 2.0 port." I've tried it again and again, but It hasn't been recognized since. PLEASE HELP!
