    Unknown Capture Error

Looks like your input format needs changing from PAL or whatever it is to NTSC-M (Or MJ i think it is) It happened to me hence the answer, if it doesnt work then i shall leave it to someone else who had this problem and managed to fix it.

    Ps3 Picture Quality Is Awful

What do you mean by quick test? I dont have much of a problem with the video it produces, its the quality of the TV when i want to play on my PS3.

    Ps3 Picture Quality Is Awful

It's all set up like that in the first place so I'm sure its the Roxio as, yes, the picture is fine with the cables directly from the PS3 to the TV. Im really disappointed with this as I enjoy using the Roxio but while it is like this there is no way to use it at all in my opinion. Thanks.

    Ps3 Picture Quality Is Awful

Hi, the picture through the TV is the problem more than anything, i was just simply saying that the quality of the videos i record have decreased quite dramatically http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jJkd4mU-Aw Above is a link to my most recent video captured with the Roxio and i am very disappointed with the quality decrease in the device. But as i said its the picture on my TV, its to the point it gives me a headache to look at and none of the previous fixes are working. Thanks.
  6. Hi all, got a bit of an issue with the Roxio Game Capture with my PS3 console. I have recently made the switch from Xbox to PS3 and i am enjoying it so far, until the same problem occurred with the PS3 as it did with the Xbox. Now i didnt want to complain about this with the Xbox because i just thought that the Xbox component cables were getting on a bit but after buying brand new Official Sony Component Cables the problem persists. I will run you by my PC Specification and whatnot to let you know that my system is way more than capable to run this device (although the recording quality is same as always i guess, its downing a little too). Also my TV is a 23" LG LCD with native 720p screen format. System Specs: i5 2550k @ 3.4Ghz x4 XFX Radeon HD4870 2GB GDDR5 4GB G.Skill Ripjawz @ 1333Mhz 64GB Samsung 830 Series SSD Boot Drive 160GB Games Drive @ 7200Rpm 250GB Storage/Recording Drive @ 7200Rpm Zalman Performa CPU Cooler Gigabyte GAH61MD2HUSB3 Motherboard OCZ Fatal1ty 550W Gaming PSU Now with that spec, the video quality shouldn't really be getting worse should it? I mean i can still play quite demanding games on high/ultra with this setup so a little video capture should be easy going, in fact i know it should be because i screen cap a lot and that is smooth and clear as ever. I am preaching out for solutions as I'm really unhappy with the Roxio quality right now, I was thinking about going up to the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro but if this is anything to go by i wont be making the switch. A rapid answer would be amazing as i would like to get my Youtube channel back up and running properly as soon as possible. Thanks, Camron.

    Hdmi To Component?

Fair point, it was a choice between this cable and a box that converts digtal signal to analog so i think i may go for that, thanks for the help.

    Hdmi To Component?

What i meant was plugging the HDMI into the new monitor i would like to get, and then the component cables (the other end of the HDMI to component cable; see link) into the Roxio, I have attached a diagram to what i mean, sorry if it is unclear.
  9. Hi all, im new to this site but I'm pretty familiar with the Roxio Game Capture device as i have been using it for a while now. I was just looking for a little info on something that i would like to try with the Roxio. I am thinking about going from a TV (with component connections) to a gaming monitor (without component connections but with HDMI) but i would like to continue using my Roxio as I am only a small time Youtube channel and i dont want to spend loads of money on it to go HD. What i was thinking is to buy a component to HDMI cable but im not sure if it will work, the link for the cable is as follows; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261073247641?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 After thinking about it for quite some time i cant see that there would be any problems but i wanted to get your guys/gals thoughts on this or if any of you have done this yourself and have first hand experience then that would be even better. Thanks for taking the time to look at this and i look forward to hearing from any of you shortly -Camron
