CD, I do believe we are. Did you not read the post where I did take your advice & plugged the USB in the back & told you what happened? I do have the install disc & i put it in when prompted to by install WIZZARD, But wizzard still says it cannot install because wizzard cannot find software. Ok, I did that & it popped up New harware found & the install wizzard came up I clicked install says Cannot install this harware cause Wizzard cannot find necessary software. So, I went to device manager to have a look and now the Roxio USB Is not showing , BUT, under "other devises" there is a big yellow ? and it says USB 2861 Device so I clicked on properties for that & in "generag tab it says = the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28) to reinstall cklick reinstall driver. I did that, & it still says cannot install. in the properties tab i clicked drivers tab & the details & it now says "no driver files are required or have been loades for this device. " I am so confused. Thanks

I'm sorry, that was a typo. I meant USB not USN It is plugged into the USB in front of computer.

Yes, that's what i looked in & I only saw the one you mentioned but not the emMon.exe there were several others. I googled Majicjack & I don't have it. I didn't contact dell, cause my computer is not a Dell. I't called emachine.

OK, Thanks. I do see the systems32\dmk.sys but not the emMON.sys So what does that mean?

Well, I don't know. What is majic Jack? And my computer is fairly new. Let me say one more thing (I hope I know what I'm talking about) Ha when I plug in mp3 or a camera chip, it shows up in MY Computer as drive H (only while it's plugged in) So, I'm thinking, when I plug in te USB, shouldn't it show as drive H also? if so, it does not show up when I plug it in . I have installed this program and I follow instructions to put my VHS to DVD. I open it up, connect all the wires, etc as told, put in a blank DVD, click on no menu, disc type, BUT, when I cklick on next to get to next step (which is select UBS 2861 device from the capture device drop down, my computer re-starts it's self before I get to that step . Seem to have smething to do w/that USB. I windows xp, internet exp 7 and my computer is only a few months old. Thanks for any advice. I am getting so frustrated.
