    Terribly Grainy Slideshow

Thank you for the reply cdanteek, I appreciate it. Now that I look at it, I chose DVD when starting the project. I do not have a bluray burner but would consider purchasing one if it would make life easier (and all HD) going forward. I will try to rebuild the project as a AVCHD project and see what the results are. If you have feedback on a good bluray burner to purchase I would ceratinly like to hear it. If you feel that would be the best route to go in burning HD movies of the kids/trips etc and pictures that aren't fuzzy for years to come. Thanks again.

    Terribly Grainy Slideshow

System Specs: Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0GHz 8GB RAM Win 7 Ultimate x64 DVD Drive: PLDS DVD+-RW DH-16AAS ATA Display Adapter: ATI Radeon HD 4500 Program: Roxio MyDVD Selected DVD as desination media Project Contains -Custom Background Image on Main Menu -Highlight colors adjusted to new colors Chapter 1: Slideshow of 94 pictures -pictures taken from Nikon S8100 at 4000x3000 (12.1mp) resolution -Slideshow Aspect Ratio: 16:9 -2 Background MP3 files for music -Transition: Action -Slide duration: 5.00 seconds -Apply Pan & Zoom to all: Selected -Rendering, tried both hardware and software, "Graphics Test" selects hardware after running Chapter 2: HD Video -Shot from same camera in 1080 Chapter 3: 3 HD Videos imported into one chapter via Roxio MyDVD and VideoWave -Background mp3 file for music original audio muted -Shot from same camera in 1080 The problem I am having is the slideshow pictures look very grainy on both my 40" and 47" TV's (1080i and 1080p respectively). Playing the DVD through both a PlayStation 3 and a Samsung Blueray player gives the same results, grainy slideshow. The videos look much better than the pictures. Is there something I am configuring incorrectly, bad transition selected or something else that can help me clean up the clarity of the slide show? If there are any other details you require to troubleshoot this please let me know and I'd be happy to provide what I can. Thank you for any suggestions.
