    ERROR CODE

Hi, have 3 Roxio progs ( Easy Media Creator,Creator2011 Pro ,Creator 2012 pro) ,have been using Roxio Pro 2011 with no probs for ages, but then got the dreaded error code 8004520c. whilst atempting to burn to dvd Took these steps.. 1.Re-instal 2.Repair 3.Changed render 4.Updated graphics card 5.Defrag the pc Still had the prob,so tried the other Roxio progs and had he same error code even after doing the above steps to each prog. The only part success i have is that Creator Pro 12 will burn to dvd ok only if i do a repair each time which is a pain. Is there a permanant fix for this error code ,seems odd it effects all 3 progs ! Running Win 10.

    Dropping Frames

Thanks for the info ,will try the advice....seems odd though Jim that it has been ok on Win10 for yonks , but i guess that pc's for you ! Just what is the best product Roxio has for simply making dvd's that is ok with Win 10 please ?
  4. Hi all, any tips on this poser please....running Win10 ,have 2013 Creator NXT PRO that up to now has produced decent dvd's from videos from my Canon camera . For some reason now when burned onto a dvd there are many frames dropped making the playback jerky, am using the same blank discs as before. A second attempt then gave the error code 8004520 -ERROR WHILST ENCODING MOVIE, tried changing the render to hardware after re-installing the prog ,the error mesage has gone but still getting frames being dropped after burning onto dvd , any simple things i can try please ? Apologies if posted on wrong board .

    Poor Playback Quality

Many thanks for the replies , have just hit the 85 age milestone and the little grey cells have probs adjusting to all the new techie knowledge that abounds these days. I use the Roxio prog for making family dvd's , a lot of its content is over my head but i get by. After reading a few posts online i went for a re-instal , did not realise that you only get a certain amount of re -instals before the licence key is invalid , and over the 3 years i have had the software i have done it many times with the changing of pc desktops ,etc. So after un-installing it i tried to re-instal ,but it said invalid licence key, aghhhhhhhhhhhh I then contacted Roxio helpdesk who sent me the reply below, am a bit miffed as i paid good money for the program and one would expect it to be still usable after 3 years (although i realise that support for it would be ended sometime) even after a Windows upgrade ,surely Roxio could have devised a patch or similar to enable its usage, or its that just the wishful thinking of a ageing silver surfer ? Seems like i will have to put the Roxio NXT 4 software on my next birthday list ....thats if i get there ! Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support. I do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. However, the product you are inquiring about is no longer supported and is now considered as obsolete software. The latest version now is Roxio Creator NXT Pro 4 (Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10). Also, Roxio Creator Nxt Pro ( 2013 ) is not compatible with Windows 10. Your best option is to upgrade.

    Poor Playback Quality

My trusty Creator NXT PRO 2013 has always produced good results when making a dvd production , but now when i create a dvd the playback has poor picture quality ,and it seems it is dropping frames as it is a little jerky , have tried differant branded discs but still the same outcome....any advice welcome please. Rob.

    Creator Nxt Pro

    Creator Nxt Pro

Thanks again for advice....i can actually get the pics and clips off the camera using the other apps on the pc,its just that my Roxio Creator NXT prog will not for some reason ,and for the price of the software its a bit of a " bummer", although i appreciate it may be a Windows problem. My old Creator 2009 did work for a while on Win8 perfectly, then it stopped working and pop ups stated it was not compatible, tried the Compatabilty methods but no-go ,when i attempted to uninstall Creator 2009 i had had the dreaded "blue screen of death" and had to re-install Win8,luckily i had a rescue disc , it did uninstall ok later. On reading up on Creator 2009 it seems there is no fix for it to work on Win 8 , it will work for a while then pack up ,and only Roxio software post 2013 will be fully compatible for Win 8 . Will maybe try to reinstall NXT later and see if it resolves itself.

    Creator Nxt Pro

Hi Jim, thanks for the posting....i use a simple digital camera for pics and video clips, a Samsung ES27 and use a USB lead to connect. It always worked ok on the Creator 2009 with WinXP .....i can download to other applicatuions on the pc but prefer the Roxio method as its simple, and am not that pc literate !!
  13. Hi all, have installed Creator NXT Pro on my new pc that came with the user unfreindly Win 8.1,when i connect my digital camera to transfer pics and clips using Roxio it says to "Click the button for the device you wish to capture video " i did this but the drop down box where you normally select Removable Disc E ( at least thats what i had to do on my old Creator 2009 which will not work on Win8) is greyed out and therefore cannot make the selection , is there a quick fix for this to save me the hassle of a re-install please ?
