  1. I may have a fix for the glitchy video and audio happening to many people. Assuming that you meet or exceed the requirements to run the Roxio software, your PC or Laptop is not overheating, your cables are in working order, your Roxio unit is not faulty, and you have updated the software and drivers, you may need to try tweaking your Graphics Card settings. I my case I needed to go into the Nvidia Control Panel and change some settings in the 3D Settings - Manage 3D Settings tab. After some trail and error and testing, I found that with the right settings, the Glitchy Video and Audio are solved. Below is a video explaining this further. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxYSg0mfGmM For ATI Graphics Card users, please refer to this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIUuPkSGVrk
  2. A couple of weeks ago I posted a topic about the Preview Screen of the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro Software flashing/flickering and being distorted. A fix has been brought to my attention by a YouTube user by the name of TheAsine. Provided that you have checked the cables, software updates, video and sound driver updates, windows updates, and virus scanners have been used. This may be the fix for you. Here is a video I made explaining how to apply this fix. Thank you to all that tried to help and I hope this works for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eA12sC4LsTI

Main Reason For Glitchy Captures Solved.

After doing some research, trail and error, and other fiddling, I think I have found a solution to this. While having a PC or Laptop that meets the requirments of the Roxio software to run smoothly, you also have to have your GPU settings set up correctly. In the Nvidia Control Panel I applied these settings and after doing some testing WITH and WITHOUT using a Webcam at the same time as recording, I find my resulting game captures to be perfect and free of any audio or video glitches. I will also be posting a video explaining this and I will link it here.

Gee that's helpful.. Thanks for being rude.
  5. What kind of lag are you talking about? Do you mean there is lag in the preview screen on the Roxio Software?

Main Reason For Glitchy Captures Solved.

I'm having slightly glitchy captures from time to time and I noticed when I try to record a webcam at the same time as the Roxio software, I get massively glitchy captures. This is quite frustraiting though since my PC is more than capable. Unless maybe my Roxio unit and/or my HDMI cables are faulty. Possibly someone could shed some light on this. Video Output Capture Problems (Xbox 360)

This is the only format it will capture in. I had to end up converting my captured video files to a different format such as Mp4. It's a pain...but it works.

Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Software Record Only 3 Seconds ?

Are you running two displays on your PC? If you are then you have to use the software on your Main screen. This happened to me when I tried to use the software on my secondary screen but works on my Main.

    Help Please

You have a "Destination" for all your video files that you record, and you can change that destination to whatever you want. Shown below. To delete it all and start new, you simply go to the folder that your captured video is sent too and delete the video files.

Need Help With Capturing In 1080P

What are you using for a Video Editing software? First you need to record in 1080p, but then the end result that is coming out of the Editing software needs to be rendered in 1080p as well.
  11. Hello everyone, I purchased my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro about 2 months ago. Since I bought this device it has worked fine in capturing video. No lag, no audio issues, no freeze ups or crashes. All is fine except one very annoying and distracting problem. The preview screen will flicker/flash and is distorted. This happens both when capturing and not capturing but it is ONLY in the preview screen of the software. Not the actual capture. If anyone has any information as to why this is happening and if there is a fix, that would be greatly appreciated. Just so you know, I have looked all over the forums, on YouTube and contacted Roxio customer support without any success in finding a fix for this. I have checked the cables, uninstalled and re-installed the software, applied all updates, updated my audio and video drivers, tried the Razer Game Booster solution, and have run virus scanners. None of which has helped. Also here are my PC specs in which I'm running the Roxio software on. Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.40GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology RAM 9.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 681MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard PEGATRON CORPORATION 2AB5 (CPU 1) Graphics Acer S231HL (1920x1080@60Hz) DELL S199WFP (1440x900@60Hz) 1023MB GeForce GTX 550 Ti Hard Drives 1397GB Seagate ST31500341AS (SATA) Optical Drives hp BDDVDRW CH20L Audio IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Finally here is a video showing what I am experiencing that I put on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUHzhMIfsvs Thank you for any help or info you may be able to provide. Roxio Needs To Add A Live Commentary Feature

There is the 1...2...3 technique I use to sync up my voice over in audacity with my capture audio. Here's a video I posted demonstrating it. The technique is at 11:05 in the video. Hope it helps!

Does The Hd Pro Have A Limit?

The only limit is the space on your Hard Drive. You could record for days if your Drive is big enough Lol.

Capture Card Only Films 2 Seconds

Are you using more then one display? If so, then are you trying to run it on a display other then your main? This happened to me and for some reason if you try to use the software on any display other than you're Main display, it will only capture for about 2 seconds.

How Can I Manage My Xbox Parties Volume?

I have exactly the same problem you are having. For instance..when I record party chat while playing Black Ops 2, the game does not drown out the party chat. But like you, I cannot do the same with Halo 4. I know this comment doesn't help you, but just saying that it happens to me too. There must be a way to turn up just the party chat so they can be heard.

    In Game Chat

The easiest way I have found to record voice chat from your Xbox as well your own voice is if you have a gaming headset such as Turtle Beaches. You set your chat to be played through both your headset and your speakers from the 'preferences' menu in your Xbox Dashboard. Because its coming through your speakers, it will be picked up by your Game Cap when recording. But you need to make sure that you turn the 'game volume' slider down and the 'voice volume' slider up. To record your own voice, you simply plug in the mic plug (pink end) into your computer or laptop and use a program such as Audacity to record yourself. The only bit that can be a little tricky is syncing up your voice with your party chat when you edit your video. As a point of reference I like to cycle through a menu on the Xbox dashboard while saying 1...2...3...1...2...3. Hope this wasn't too confusing and helped a little. Any other questions you have I could try to answer. Here is a video I posted to YouTube explaining this in detail.
  20. Thank you cdanteek, I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately I just tried installing 'Microsoft MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3 (Microsoft XML Core Services)' and tried using the Roxio Game Capture with just one Monitor since I was using a duel screen setup and neither one solved the problem. Possibly there is no clear cut answer to this problem and we just have to deal with it until Roxio gets with the program and addresses this with a software update. If however I find a solution that works I will post here along with a video showing how its done.
  21. I realize the preview screen is not for "Game Play". That is obvious. The point is that it should be fixed and was reaching out to the community for potential help, not only for myself but to anyone else with this issue.
