    Rendering Video Issue.

I haven't been able to figure out why VideoWave adds so much contrast when it renders the video, but I have however figured out how to make the video come out normal! I just have to lower the contrast in VideoWave while editing, which makes the preview look awful, and then render it to see how it turns out. I had to lower the contrast of some footage I captured to 45.00, which didn't look good in the preview, but after rendering it looked fine. It's slightly annoying because it means I'm going to have to test everything a few times to see what comes out best.

Hmm, that's weird. I've been experimenting a bit, and it seems every video I make comes out darker after it's been rendered. Even after changing the settings, like changing to 720p, using auto-colour correct, etc. Also, when I play these videos on Windows Media Player, the quality isn't that great. It's definitely not in 1080i anyway. The only time I've seen one of my videos in 1080 is when watching it on YouTube. I'll give the enhancements a go when I next record something, and see if that helps! Thanks for the advice.

No, it's the right one. I have just taken the screenshot at the same point (almost). If you look in the back ground of the YouTube one, everything is completely black. Whereas the other one isn't. Here's another example. In this scene, you're supposed to call the guard over. Normally you can see him stood in front there, but after the video has been rendered it looks like this. You can't even see the guard. Everything that was slightly dark because it's night time is now just black. *edit I suppose the best way to put it, is that rendering it seems to put the contrast up to 100. Even though I haven't changed it.

    Rendering Video Issue.

Hi there, I'm having a slight problem when it comes to rendering footage.. When I record some gameplay, the video that is saved looks pretty decent. The quality is pretty much the same as what I see on the TV. When I add the video to VideoWave to edit, it looks the same. Pretty good so far.. Once I'm done editing and render the footage, the video that is saved is really dark. This is my problem. I've tried different things to see if I can fix it, but I can't seem to figure it out. All I know is that it happens after I have rendered the footage. I've used the default settings, such as keeping the video file quality as "Same as original", and I've even changed that to HD to see if that helped. But nothing seems to work. This is a screenshot from VideoWave. And this is a screenshot of the video on YouTube, after it's been rendered. As you can see, everything has been plummeted into darkness! Does anyone know why this might be happening, or if there's something I can do to stop it? It's probably something simple, or a setting I need to adjust somewhere. I'm pretty new to all of this, as I only got my Roxio recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
