I have, and yes, I understand which port is which, I've just only found one method that actually works, and that was routing it to my HDTV, it forces the video and audio to go through the HDMI cord. It works best with my TV as it has a headphone jack I can use, otherwise through my monitor, the noise comes out and pollutes my microphone's recording...
To get it to work with my monitor, I suppose I'll just have to get component cables, but at least I found one method that works, even if it's not what I'd prefer.
I have a component cable that plugs into the speaker port on the back of my computer that I can hook up to the Roxio, but that didn't work either, as it can't use that and the HDMI input port, it just defaults to the HDMI port. The next thing I'm going to try is a component cable that can hook up to my modern, I'm thinking a component cable that can connect to the DVI port, and use that same component cable that hooks to the two audio ports.
So again, I'm going to attempt component cables going into the input side, and an HDMI cord going out of the output side, into my monitor, and see if that works, similar to the PS3 setup, which does work.
Sorry for the late reply, this has been a side project that's taken up a lot of time, and I had some stuff to take care of before trying something new.
