  1. I tried burning a DVD-R the day after having upgraded to the new Mac operating system Big Sur, and after 1%-2% I would get a message saying "Interface Error 4: The Connection Is Not Stable" and the burn would fail. This didn't happen before while it was Catalina. Has anyone had this problem with Toast Titanium 18 since upgrading to Big Sur? I've already wasted 4 DVD-R blanks and I don't want to go any further until I know how to get this fixed.
  2. I'm sure many of you have seen this message before and I hope someone found a solution. My problem: I recently bought a Samsung SE218 External DVD Writer to burn discs using Toast 8 on my Macbook which runs on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard upgraded from Tiger). Whenever I try to burn a DVD-Video from VIDEO TS files or create an audio CD from AIFFs or FLACs, Toast always gives me the above error message: Interface Error 4: The Connection is Not Stable The strange thing is I use this same burner and Toast 8 on my work computer which is a newer Mac Desktop on OSX Mountain Lion and everything burns just fine. So is here some kind of software conflict? Do I need to upgrade firmware? Is there a way to burn discs around this error? Thank you in advance!
