I've tried this with three different HDTVs, one of which is only 720p, but the other two support 1080p. I've also tried it with three separate HDMI cables leading out to the various televisions. I also know it's ridiculous, but I tried passing my in-line to the out-port and vice versa to see if it made a difference.
There is nowhere in the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro application that I am able to register my product - not under the Help menu, File menu, or Tools. That said, I've already registered the product with Roxio on their website. I've yet to receive an email with anything related to tech support, but I do have two emails that confirm my registration with Roxio.
I've even tried manually plugging up red/white audio out and passing those out, and I couldn't even get the audio out to work!
I've tried updating the software, completely removing all software and drivers and reinstalling them. I've tried various other solutions that you've offered to other users on the forums as well (dorking with various output settings on the Xbox console, etc.). I've even tried doing all of this from both my beefy gaming PC and my moderate laptop.
As for the Component-Out, I do not keep component cables since I do not use them. I bought this specific hardware because it offered both HDMI-in and HDMI-out as a feature, and all of my monitors support that.
I apologize if I seem a bit on edge. I've tried to cover all of my bases, though, including knowledge that I've dug up from other posts in this forum, but none of it seems to work, and it appears my only options are to either return this hardware and give up on the idea, purchase new hardware (likely from another manufacturer this time), or wait a couple of days for their phone-in tech support.
Sorry. I have exhausted every possible option I know of. I even carried a 40" television down my hall to try this out (because it was easier than carrying a 50 lb desktop).
