    Videowave function question

I have recently installed Creator NXT 7 Pro and have been frustrated and I think will be disappointed to learn that the templates for Menu Title/Sub Chapter feature is no longer available on Videowave. They are available on MyDVD but only videos can be used on that function and no still photos. I have asked Corel Support and all I get are links to online manuals which tell me much of what I already know having used/loved Videowave for the past 15 years. So if these templates are available on Videowave I would appreciate being directed to them. Or if there is a work-around someone has discovered I'd love to hear about that too. Thanks in advance.

Hello bimicher, I looked at downloading Irfanview and am intimidated by the array of possibilities. Do you have a recommendation as to which one I should download? So to answer your question, no I haven't tried it yet but would like to. BTW I have been looking for NXT 7 info and it's practically nonexistent on forums. Are you able to work with me on that new program on another forum perhaps?

I want to thank both Brendon and bimicher for all your patience & assistance with this issue. I think the best solution for me is to use the save in Paint as a .gif file...seems the easiest if not the most sophisticated. Also, I have just upgraded to NXT Pro 7 and have some questions about that program so I'll seek out another forum and perhaps we'll meet again. Warmest regards, Joyce

Hi bimicher, Thank you for the correction. To be sure I'm clear if I have a collection of photos grouped together that's called a "folder" and each individual photo is a "file", right? I tend to mix up terminology and appreciate your guidance. on the IRFANVIEW, thanks for that piece of info as well. Sounds much easier than one pic at a time! Will try it and if I have a problem, I'll be back for more input. Great hearing from you again . Warmest regards, Joyce

Hello Brendon, It's funny how pics taken with previous versions of Galaxy work fine, it's just with the S7 that's problematic. Wonder what changed in the S7? I have a couple of questions: 1. The IRFANVIEW is a photo editing program so if I have a file that contains multiple pics e.g. 200 then how would I deal with so many when IRFANVIEW appears to be a single pic at a time? With the old MS Photo Viewer I could move an entire file of say 200 onto Roxio. I wanted to ask this before I downloaded IRFANVIEW. 2. Is it possible to reset phone camera app to work with Motorola EFIX standard vs whatever it's using now? Or is changing any of the camera settings worthwhile? 3. I have a pic taken as a "burst" by accident and tried loading that but alas...didn't work. NEWS FLASH! I was just playing around with more research and trial/error and made this latest discovery. It could be you mentioned this earlier and I just didn't pick up on it (Sorry if so). Using a rejected .jpg photo, I "opened with" Paint and saved the individual pic as a .gif and Roxio accepted it! So it would take some time bc I have to work with the individual pic but at least after that tedious step I can load into Roxio. I know Roxio accepts .mpg files already. Your thoughts??

Actually the EXIF is missing when I try to load into Roxio, however it appears to be there in Windows.

Totally understand. Sleep well. Meanwhile when you are recharged in the a.m. consider what I just discovered: My S7 JPGs show NO metadata (EXIF) when I look at the individual photo, go to Properties, then Details...it's blank! Appreciate your patience and your help. Thanks! Joyce

Hello, Brendon and others who want to jump in, I am back at this project and have been eager to try the Paint option you suggest above. I followed your instructions and Roxio still rejects the "Paint" photo copy...still the red circle. Interesting discovery just today. I shot a brief video via Galaxy S7 which is mpg and it loads beautifully. So Roxio accepts new mpg files but not jpg. I wonder if returning to the old Window Photo Viewer would help. Your thoughts? Also if anyone else has some ideas I am open. Many thanks! Joyce

Many thanks to both Brendon and bimicher for your quick responses. I am very frustrated and I really appreciate your patience! I will get into your suggestion, Brendon, when I am once again able to be on the pc. I must be away from it for a few days but will return soon and let you know how I do. BTW I have read how the new Windows 10 photo program is playing to at least mixed reviews and there are several sites giving instructions how to return to the old Windows Photo Viewer. I'm eager to try the Paint option first however. Many thanks once again for staying with me, guys! Have a great few days ahead. Will chat again soon. Best regards, Joyce

bimicher, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I have a few photo directories/programs on my pc which I've tried and nothing seems to work. I even tried to copy into Creator NXT 6 Photosuite...to no avail. I guess I need to get yet another app. I researched my photo history and all the EXIF versions going back several years is 0220 in Window default directory, both from the camera and from the phone. I also went directly into the camera and there is no EXIF data showing up...only when it appears in W10. For your question of editing/modifying, the answer is both yes and no. I purposefully did not edit/modify the most recent photos I've been taking to work on this problem. A few of the ones, again not all, which alerted me to this problem were modified a little back when I had Windows 7, not any modifications in W10. I am attaching a screen shot of the Creator NXT 6 version tab. Let me know if it tells you what you need. Thanks for staying on this with me. Joyce

bimicher: I forgot to mention the screen shots I featured above showed a 2017 date on the Roxio red circle photo I took today. That was the reason I sent the screen shots and then inquire about EXIF 0220 if that's the incompatible version for Roxio. Sorry.

Hello, bimicher To answer your question, when I plug in my S7 phone to transfer photos to pc the Windows picture file (like "documents", "music", "pictures") is just there and always has been a very easy storing place and not the greatest for editing. When you say to use Windows Explorer, I'm not sure what you mean. Where on Windows Explorer could they go? How would I store photos on it? Sorry to be so slow. I can send the details tab which does show a lot more including the EFIX version 0220. I'm just learning about EFIX and see there are several versions out there. Do I need a different version that would be compatible with Roxio? (I refer to an earlier post above by Brendon) Would you want to see that tab? I'll send a screen shot if you want. Just let me know. The NXT 6 I have does not have all the features I'm used to in the previous Roxio versions so I'm considering upgrading to NXT Pro 7. The online description seems to offer more than I currently have with standard NXT 6. Once again, I will appreciate any input you can offer to help me. Warmest regards, Joyce

Brendon, I'm sorry to be such a bother but I just found on drilling deeper into Windows Picture properties for this latest photo that the EXIF version is 0220. I guess Samsung was incorrect. should I change/delete that version? What would be your advice here? I'll try not to bother you more for a while. Many thanks for your patience! Have a great day, Joyce

Hello again, Brendon I just discovered something I'd like to share with you. I took a photo this a.m. and sent it to Windows Pictures then unsuccessfully sent to Creator NXT. I looked at the properties of photo. I am attaching the photo then the properties pages. The one with the date July17, 2019 is from Windows Pictures and the one with the Red circle is from the Roxio program. Check out the dates! Does this point me in another direction to solve this issue? Your thoughts? p.s. In case you cannot see the date on the Red Circle one, it reads 8/30/2017 2:26 AM

Hi Brendon, I have been reading about Exif and then I contacted Samsung support. According to Samsung the S7 does not have Exif file format. So I don't know if that's correct or if the agent just doesn't understand. Your thoughts? Could it be that the compatibility issue is between my new pc (Windows 10) and my new Creator NXT 6? All the files are .jpg and always download into the Windows Picture program from the S7. It is between the Picture program and Creator NXT6 where the problem is. BTW I have tried to import S7 photos into other photo viewing programs to no avail...same issue. I'm really stumped I am also considering an upgrade to Creator NXT7 Pro because it seems like that's the program that has all the features I've been hunting for. .I wonder if that might help. Your thoughts? Best regards, Joyce
