Roxio Vhs To Dvd Won't Pick Up The Sound Off The Vhs, Only The Video

Hi, thank you for responding. The sleep setting was 10 minutes and I changed it to 15. I don't think it went to sleep because I was watching while the recording was taking place. The recording was only 3 to 4 minutes in length, a song. Many things I record are much longer, like plays, etc. Your comment about the USB device being inserted after the program is launched is interesting. The instructions say nothing about that. I'll try what you suggest and let you know in another post.

Roxio Vhs To Dvd Won't Pick Up The Sound Off The Vhs, Only The Video

Sorry about the lack of information. I have a roxio easy VHS to DVD for Mac, p.n. 243100, REV; E. The device worked perfectly for the first two videos converted and then on the third transferred the video but about 1/2 way through the transfer, stopped transferring the sound. The fourth attempt yielded video but no sound. I called the company and a person from the call center recommended that I delete and reload the program, which I did. The first attempt to convert a VHS tape yielded video and sound at the start but about 1/2 way through, the sound was dropped. My computer is a Mac OSX 10.8.5 with a 2.7ghz intel core i5 processor. Is there a problem in the software or the hardware of the device? Roxio was recommended by my Mac dealer.
  3. I download from my camera through the roxio product. Initially both the sound and the picture came across, but then the sound stopped. I deleted the program and reloaded it and the same thing happened. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?
