Thank you for your reply. It's much appreciated.
Yup, it's an old computer. I'm using it because our recently purchased Dell has no input jacks for S-video or the older "audio/video in" and "audio/video out" connections. I really don't like the new computer because of that and because it runs Windows 8, which I absolutely hate with a passion and could rant about it hours, but I won't waste your time on that here.
Please forgive me, by the way, because although it seems I know more about computers than most of my friends and family do, I'm a little confused by your reply.
First, I googled "AMD/ATIi", which led me to this page: http://support.amd.com/en-us
I clicked on the "Find your drivers" link and am stuck there because I don't understand the "Select your type of system that you have" question because I thought they were going to ask me what kind of computer and operating system I have.
Next, yes, I do regular system maintenance. I have deleted most of the programs on this computer since I've installed them on the new computer, but I still use WinUtilities and Crap Cleaner on this computer on a regular basis, and defrag it once in a while.
Drivers for my capture device - I'm sorry, but I don't understand the question. If by "capture device" you mean my DVD burner, I just installed one that I got from our IT guy at work and it seems to be ok. I've been searching for a free driver update program and have found plenty that will scan my computer and tell me that I have 15-18 devices that need an upgrade, but they all want money to upgrade them so I haven't done that yet, but if that is what I need to do to solve this problem, I will gladly pay their fee. My Device Manager tells me that I have a Philips DVD+-RW DVD 87014, if that helps.
Again, I'm sorry for being so clueless, and if your reply is "Call Roxio, because you're way beyond my help", I totally understand.
