    Won't Record Content

I was having some trouble with my Roxio Easy VHS to DVD program not responding the other day, and you all helped me get that fixed fairly quickly. I'm hoping you can do that again. My problem is that I can't seam to copy over anything longer than a minuet. When I get the VHS player hocked up and running, I can see the video/ hear the audio, when it's 'recording' however, when I stop it, its just a black screen, with no audio, or run time. I tried running it for one minute, and it worked, was able to see/hear everything. However, I have a 1 hour 40 minute tape, and then another 3 to go when this is over. So doing it all in 1 minute segments, won't really work here. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. (I posted this already to the wrong place. Re-posting to what I HOPE is the right one) I was asked if I had blank spots in the tape, as that can apparently cause it to stop recording. I do, however it seams to continue recording to the end. I say this b/c when it's going, I can watch it play, and it says it's recording all the way through. Again, Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -River

I was not aware of that there are three versions. In the top left of the window, it says 'Roxio Easy VHS to DVD' So I assume its not the 3 Plus. I will re-post to the correct spot.

    Wont Recognize Vhs Player/not Responding.

I was 100% sure I was, however before responding as such, I double checked, and found I had the red and white cables plunged into the wrong spots, my bad on that one. Thank you for your time, and help. -River

    Wont Recognize Vhs Player/not Responding.

Thank you for the responses. I removed the Roxio USB Device. Shutdown all programs including antivirus and firewall software, inserted thr Roxio Easy VHS to DVD disc in a drive and ran it. Then selected repair. Plugined in my Roxio USB Device and open Device Manager, expand sound, video, and game controllers. Shown are: High Definition Audio Device, NVIDIA High Definition Audio, NVIDIA High Definition Audio, NVIDIA High Definition Audio, Roxio Video Capture USB, USB 2861 Device. The program is no longer crashing, however I can not seam to get it to find the VHS player.
  6. I just installed a copy of Roxio Easy VHS to DVD, (Not sure the version, or how to check) I have been unable to get it to find the VHS player, because after about 30 seconds of having the program running, it stops responding. I have found I have to restart my computer to get it to close. Alt-F4, and task manager wont close it.' I have read some other posts, and they all seam like after a post or 2 the asker stops coming back, so the question never gets answered. I'm not sure how to find my specs beyond that I have Windows 7 Home premium 64bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -River
