Thanks for the reply. I have successfully encoded the video to various formats using ffmpeg, so I don't think it's the video's fault or RAM. I will try making an MPEG2 video with ffmpeg and then loading it in Toast witht he never re-encode option. You don't happen to know the optimal settings for ffmpeg to produce DVD-spec MPEG2 do you? I have tried ntsc-dvd but got a .VOB file.
