Add to the next toast upgrade

Well this is just a comment. DVDs are on the way out. Shortly very few people will be able to play DVDS. So right now I am in the process of converting DVDs back to mp4 movies. To do this I am using Handbrake. But I think it would be a great addition to toast.
  2. Well I was making an Audio CD and used the write CD text option but after burning the track titles and the disc name were not listed.
  3. I use a Canon Vixia HF10 video camera. I want to convert the file structure on the canon SD chip to quicktime movie files. In the camera I have several clips. When I place the card into my laptop and look at the file structure of the card, I receive the following structure. Canon/private/AVCHD. Toast does not recognize that file structure. However Quicktime does and opens up the AVCHD file showing all the clips.

Updating To Toast 11.01 From 11.0

Well Just after I posted this, I found the other posts that described the problem. When I installed Toast 11 initially I was unable to open the Toast 11 folder because I didn't have permission to do this. So I used the Get Info command on the Toast 11 folder and in the Sharing and Permissions block added myself to have custom access. What I didn't do was select "Apply to Enclosed Items." So after reading the post here I went back to the Toast 11 Folder and selected apply to enclosed items and then I was able to install the update. Thanks. Phil

Updating To Toast 11.01 From 11.0

When I launch Toast 11.0 now I receive a prompt to update toast from 11.0 to 11.01. Using the prompts to Install the update, I select it and download the update. After the update is downloaded I click install update and then a window comes up saying "installing update." The installer at this point hangs up. Mac Pro 2 x 2.66; Mac OS 10.6.6.

    Exporting Files

The label states that file # has been exported successfully. It messes up my window and I suspect its related to Mac OS 10.6.4. I would like to turn the #$^@ thing off but I don't know how.

    The drive reported an error

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

    The drive reported an error

When burning a DVD after rendering a quicktime movie an error flag appeared. Sense Key = UNIT ATTENTION Sense Code = 0x29 Power On, Reset, Or Bus Device Reset Occurred. I'm using a an internal Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D on my Mac Pro. Just wondering if the computer goes to sleep during burning. I don't seem to have problems with my power supply.

Choppy picture on DVD player since 7.1 update

Well the movie that I burned in toast to DVD was not acceptable. I burned the same movie using Apple's iDVD and the results were excellent. I had the buffer underrun option turned off. My conclusion is that the problem is related to Toast's Compression scheme. Perhaps more compression with less quality.
