toast 18 crashes under big sur.....

I figured that would be the answer... Once a new version of Toast comes out - they'll only support that version on any updates to macOS. To be fair, that's not uncommon for any software vendor - code bases and API's specific to OS releases change..

Why did ROXIO ruin a good interface?

For upgrade revenue. The biggest critique of Toast 18 was that it looked and performed basically the exact same way that Toast 17 did. MacWorld said it "[Lacked] any compelling reason to upgrade [from Toast 17]". Now they've put lipstick on a pig and called it Toast 19.

Bought Toast 18 1 month ago, No upgrade to 19?!

I'm in the same boat. I about Toast 18 4 months ago.. never got it to work right.. crashed constantly. Now I'm supposed to pay again? Why? And forget about their 30-day money back guarantee.. They NEVER refund you. Ever.

    toast 19 crashes

It's a real shame.. Toast used to be a great product. And then Cowpland REsearch Labs bought them. Their "research" must be into how to run once great products into the pavement.
  5. i bought (and got burned by the qualify of) Toast 18 four months ago.. Now I'm supposed to pay 99 bucks again? If they want to give me a free upgrade I'll try it.. but I'm not paying the 99 bucks again.
  6. I bought 18 four months ago.. and never got my issue resolved. I still own my license but unless they're offering a steep discount (i.e. free) I'm not upgrading to 19. Fool me once...
  7. Hi... subject says it all.. I try to copy video to a DVD and compression is required and Toast Titanium 18 crashes. Both in High Sierra and Catalina - exact same error: While my Catalina boot has SIP disabled, my High Sierra boot as SIP enabled, so I know that's not it. I've attached the complete stacktrace, but here's the most relevant part: Exception Type: EXC_ARITHMETIC (SIGFPE) Exception Codes: EXC_I386_DIV (divide by zero) Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY Termination Signal: Floating point exception: 8 Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0x8 Terminating Process: exc handler [1364] Machine specs: Mac Pro (Mid 2012) Processor: 2 x 2.4 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon Memory: 52 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7950 3 GB panic.txt
