    Free editing software

Thanks for the reply. I'm not finding much editing capabilities with VHS to DVD, just basic trimming, etc. Anyhow, I'll take a look at Win MM. Thanks.

    Free editing software

I've captured all video from my VHS and 8mm tapes using Easy VHS to DVD so now I have the task of editing all those mpeg files. Looking for suggestions on good, free editing video software. Not a Mac guy but Windows and Linux would work. Did some googling and have a list but was just wanting some other opinions as well. Thanks.
  3. Hey all. Excuse the naivety of the questions but I see the default output for capturing video is mpeg. The product page says video output is DVD, ISO, MPEG2, AVC (H.264) so I'm assuming the "Record DVD" option when you start the app is DVD/ISO and the "Record, edit and save option is MPEG2 and H.264? Also, while I'm here, I had the old version (believe it was just called Easy VHS to DVD) and I believe the default output format was AVI if memory serves. Isn't AVI superior to mpeg? I wonder why the difference now. Anyhow, thanks for the replies in advance.
