  1. Please excuse me if I have a bit of a rant here.

I bought the Creator NX7 4 months ago, purely because I was looking for a decent DVD authoring software. Since then, I have tried on 3 or 4 occasions to create and burn DVDs of some talks that I've given - all without success. Usually I get the 'Burner state encoding title' error, which from forum posts seems pretty common; sometimes the program just crashes without explanation. Now, after wasting another 3 or 4 hours on my latest attempt, it's refusing to load the saved file, claiming that it can't find a particular blue bitmap background.

This is, without a doubt, one of the clunkiest, poorly designed, poorly supported, bug-ridden pieces of commercial software that I have ever come across. At a rough estimate, I have wasted well over 24 hours of my life trying to get this PoS to work, and I've had enough. The software is not fit for purpose, and I would like a refund please.

  2. Hi folks,

New user of Creator NXT7 here... I'm trying to get to grips with the menu setup in MyDVD.

I have one piece of video that I've split into 6 chapters. I want to have an option to 'play all' on the initial screen instead of going to the chapter menu, but I can't find a way to do that. I've tried playing with sub-menus but I'm not sure I'm doing it properly, so would appreciate any advice.

So my menu tree looks like this: Root menu > inserted media file > chapter menu > chapters. In the preview mode, the initial screen shows the inset video picture, then the title of the media file below that. I can switch between those two using the arrow keys (either the video picture or the text highlights), but clicking on either one brings up the chapter menu.  Is there a way to add a 'Play All' option that circumvents the chapter menu, as you would expect on a DVD?

    Grahame
