If I understand you correctly, apart from the software issue I have (& perhaps others), If I carry on as I am I can complete projects without purchasing a card as long as I do not use 3D transitions. But If I purchase a card and I leave the settings to hardware, I won't see distortion problems & can use fancy 3D transitions, although actual processing speed will not increase. (A mouthfull I know)
Thanks for your advice, I had just been looking at NVIDIA cards (Basicly because ggrussel has one) & because I have a good one at work that performs well for 3D modeling.
Apart from that I know almost nothing about them. AGP v PCI, how much memory, support for this or support for that!
But that one for £25 dosn't look at all bad for starters.
