    MyDVD Menu Background Edit

Hers another way of doing it using photosuite 8. Open photosuite go to file and click on new canvas that will open the select canvas screen select custom size if not already selected go down to units and select pixels then enter the correct aspect ratio 4:3 720 x 540 NTSC 768 x 576 PAL 16:9 848 x 480 NTSC 1024 x 576 PAL Click ok then click save as i saved mine in a new folder in My Pictures as VW 8 scanner background.DMSP this allows you to scan you photos at there native size you then open the above saved project change the background color go to insert photos and cutouts resize the inserted photo to suit add edge fading, shadow etc.,save as a jpeg and then when you insert it into VW it's at the correct aspect ratio. It works great for portrait photos as you can have two one the one slide.

  15. What screen is that Bruce? BTW hope you enjoyed the break with your family.
  16. You can do it from with in VW as well (see screen shot). You can then use the frame by frame buttons to get the best shot. Hope this helps.
  17. Check this out Frank It might help

    Rod info for Redwagon713

Hi Frank Glad to here you found a work around for your scanned photos, maybe Bruce will come up with something else when he gets back from holidays. Thanks for the trivia makes interesting reading I new about the engine revs one I think we worked it out one night over a few beers the calculations took a while!!! You have a great weekend to, I think that was one of the first qualifying runs of the day but then again Adelaides only a little town.
  20. Hi Frank Glad you found a work around you can live with for the time being. What i find interesting is if i put a photo on the story board thats been captured from my dig cam it fills the screen but from the scanner you end up with the black bars! Anyway check out the general board I'll post the rod info. I don't have to go back to work I sacked the boss last week.

    encoding freezes

Your right Bruce it's under tools / options opens a new window and you'll see the clear button.
  22. Hi Guys Ok heres what i did scanned the photo on to my HD using ECM 8 import/capture then i resized the pic in photosuite to 603 x 451 pixels. I got the size by using the ( extract image from production ) in VW. Hope this helps you out. BTW Frank thats my hotrod in the screen shot, Bruce sounds like your having a great time with the family. PS. just noticed on the screen shot theres a very thin black bar at the top just tried changing it from bars to fill and the cropping was very minimal.
  23. Hi Frank Im not at my computer at the moment & for the life of me I can't remember exactly what I did so I'll post a blow by blow in the morning my time ( it's 8.15 pm now ). PS my avatar is my car and the other one in the screen shot was taken on a trip to england in 85.
  24. I don't know if this will help as i did it in ECM 8 (VW 8). If i scan a photo onto my hd then import it into VW I end up with the black edges your talking about, but if I import it directly ( see screen shot ) I end up with the same aspect ratio 4:3 and no black bars. As i said i don't know if you can do this in 7 as i don't have it.
