  2. Thank you Gentlemen both very kindly, I've attached the log files. Sorry for the rookie mistake but, after all, I'm still a Rookie
  3. I was unable to use a screen shot so I referred to a similar situation to help convey the problem. No 'hijack' intended. In order to give context to my first sentence please go here ----> http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/105261-installing-new-roxio-nxt-3-pro/page__hl__+install%20+different%20+computer#entry488386
  4. Hello Gurus, I'm trying to install Creator NXT 3 on a computer (specs below in message, not signature block) that has never had any Roxio programs/apps installed on. I am having the same problem as Shawn B except my permanent stall is at 'Rolling back Roxio Burn.' Later I get an application error for Burn that says 'Critical keys needed for this application are missing' then it goes on to say something about repairing the program. I tried to installed without the burn feature but I got a message that the installation was interrupted. After checking updates and following many of the steps I've seen in the forum, I was unable to attempt an installation because I used the product key too many times. Customer service gave me another product key and I have since downloaded imgburn but I would like to try again on my other computer that has Creator 2010 before using my new product key too many times on this one. The specs on the computer with failed attempts are: Windows 8.1 Home Premium, preinstalled, 4.00 GB RAM (3.58 GB usable) 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor AMD E1-1200 with Radeon HD Graphics, 1.4 GHz HP DVDRAM GT50N 950 GB Iomega external drive

    Can't import/capture

Thank you for your continued support and sorry about the delayed response but I break for several hours to ensure lawn's mowed, laundry's done etc. Well I was able to download and run everything you suggested but still can't open the home page. I'll try the rollback/reinstall methods next. I know I'm not addressing everything like the video copying but I'm a bit overwhelmed at the time.

You're right - I'm doing a lot of guessing but I'm still a rookie . I'll try all this now.

    Can't import/capture

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Well for some reason now, I can't even open the Roxio program. I get 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.' To answer your question I'm attempting to capture video from a DVD. I am able to access video and copy convert, however, out of the startup menu but it stops with an error after 62%. Honestly I prefer capturing to an m-peg2 file anyway. As for your temporary resolution adjustment suggestion, I was unable to see directions for it. I only see with no hyperlink or anything. Oh another thing, the play button is not even available in the production editor - I used to set chapters there for convenience. Now if I want to trim a segment, I have to set a chapter in the 'edit chapters' feature to mark it so I can trim it in the regular editor. This again is a carryover problem from EMC 10. I'm a total mess, I know. I must need driver updates or something...

    Can't import/capture

Greetings all, I just upgraded to 2010 from 10. For some time now I was unable to capture video to edit from a DVD in my internal drive. When I clicked on 'capture video' it takes me nowhere! I'm just stuck with the same screen and no explanation/error code, anything. I didn't think this would happen after spending $100 + on Creator 2010 but I was wrong. I click on 'capture video' under 'import' a circle moves around, then the word 'loading' shows up than it stops as if I didn't even do anything. Also as a side note the graphics for Creator 2010 is oversized and I can't even minimize without using 'control+escape' but every other page I have is normal. I appreciate any attempted assists. Respectfully, Dillon

not enough disk space available message

Since this is another topic altogether from the start of the tread I'll submit my request for assistance under 2010 video capture.

not enough disk space available message

cause/effect - ever since I installed the disc drive, I haven't been able to capture videos since....

not enough disk space available message

Don't ask me what took so long to respond to this specific issue but I started with 'Creator 9' than bought 'Creator 10'. Evidently I'm thinking that 'Creator 10' and 'Creator 2010' are the same thing (also goes for 9 and 2009) but not the case? '2009' followed '10' and '2010' followed '2009'? Please help me understand this before I spend the $$$$ on Creator 2010 seeing whereas my system has not worked well at all since I installed a new DVD writer (won't capture video, for example...) I got so frustrated after researching solutions that didn't help that I quit for several months. OK, never mind - I just saw EMC 10 listed under 'legacy products'

Burnt DVD not behaving same way as preview

It's a glitch that the preview doesn't catch. You must right click on the chapter link go to 'show settings' and manually select the chapter you want by dropping down on 'play from'. Remember to do this before every burn.
