MyDVD hold last photo longer than the rest

Project done! It turned out great thanks to your help! Skinis, I ended up just having the text slides stand still instead of scroll due to the length of the sound track. It worked out fine that way since there wasn't much text. Thanks though for the instructions on scrolling. I will definately use it on my next project. Grammy

    VideoWave sound effects and music

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help with the sound in my project. It is all finished and worked out great! Couldn't have done it without you! Grammy

Using Video Wave Pan and Zoom Feature

Well, my project if finally finished and it works great! Just as I'd hoped it would turn out! Boy I learned a lot in the last week or so. Thanks for all the help you folks provided! The pan and zoom edits worked fine as I described above--using the automotion for the entire show, then editing some frames manually by right clicking the frame-choosing edit-choosing the motion I wanted- then going on to the next photo. At the end, I saved and exited Videowave (which updated the preview screen). When I restarted the file, all changes worked perfectly! Thanks again, Grammy Thanks MikeE for the pat on the back! Couldn't believe I figured that one out myself!!! Hope your project goes well. Grammy

Thanks for directing me to the sound editor. I'll work on getting the sound edited and get back to you if I have more questions. I appreciate your assistance. Grammy

Using Video Wave Pan and Zoom Feature

Got to thinking about something...maybe the preview window needed to reload after making the manual edits, since they were still showing up in the storyline view. Saved the project. Closed out of Video Wave. Reopened the project and all the changes now work in the preview window! Alright! I'm getting there! Thanks again. Grammy

Using Video Wave Pan and Zoom Feature

Oops, I got pan and zoom on all the complete project, then added in the two files at the end that I want to stand still. That worked. Then, I went in and edited a few individual photos that I wanted to zoom a certain way just as you explained in this post. It appeared to work when I did it in the storyline view, but now, when I go back and preview the entire project, everything has gone back to the way it was on the automatic pan and zoom settings. Do I need to do something to save my edited pan and zoom settings besides click okay after changing each one? Hope this makes sense the way I'm explaining it! Grammy I just went back and double checked something. The pan and zoom features are still behaving the unedited way in the preview window. When I right clicked the photos in the storyline, then edit, then pan and zoom (as described above for changing it), the settings still read they way I changed them. They just aren't moving the way I changed them to go in the preview. Hmmm, any ideas? Or is this program really trying to make me go crazy! Or make me seem like I am?! Actually, I guess I kind-of am a little crazy for taking on a project like this! But, I like a challenge. Never too old to learn something new as long as there are patient people like you who enjoy teaching! Thanks again for all the help! Grammy

    VideoWave sound effects and music

Thanks for responding, GrandpaBruce. That sounds easy enough to do...but I can't find the sound editor! In VideoWave, I clicked to add audio, found my heartbeat clip and clicked it. Then it asked which track, so I clicked music. In that window, I clicked on the edit tab (music note with a - sign) and the audio trimmer came up--not the sound editor. I did find the help topic for sound editor, but it didn't say how to pull up the sound editor for the soundclip. Could you please tell me where to find it? Thanks, Grammy
  8. Hello, I have a 10 second clip of heartbeat and a song that needs to be in the background of a VideoWave DVD. I need to have 30 seconds of heartbeat, then the song, then another 20 seconds of heartbeat. When I copy the heartbeat files and put them in as background audio, they have a few seconds of silence between clips. I can't figure out how to merge them into a solid 30 seconds. At the end of the heartbeat, I want the song to come in during the last few heartbeats (where they overlap for a few seconds). I saw there was a way to just use the 10 second clip one time and loop it for the 30 seconds, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it by the instructions on the help center. If anybody can explain it easier for me, I would greatly appreciate it! Ya'll have provided tremendous help on this project already--and I'm almost finished! I didn't get this done in time to meet my deadline of this morning, so I had to give a less complicated version done in MyDVD to hold them over for a few more days! I'm still trying to get this perfect and learning a new program at the same time! Couldn't do it without you! Thanks so much, Grammy

    MyDVD transfer to Video Wave

I got the motion or pan and zoom features applied and was able to keep the last two slides holding still, which is what I was hoping to do. I may still try to get the last frame to scroll like credits on a film if I have time after figuring everything else out. For now, the still frames with the text look fine since there is little text on them. I really appreciate your help. Couldn't get through this without ya'll! Grammy

Using Video Wave Pan and Zoom Feature

Okay, I got the pan and zoom working properly! Thanks so much for your help! Now, on to the next task...I really am enjoying this learning process. Ya'll are great teachers! Grammy

Using Video Wave Pan and Zoom Feature

Thanks so much, guys. I saved the non-panning version and then got them all to pan randomly using the instructions in the first reply here. That works great! Now, there are a few of the pan photos that I would like to change seperately to make them zoom only. Is there a way to do that and leave all the others as they are? Your help with this project has been great! It was supposed to be completed by this weekend, but if forgot about the holiday, so I got a surprise extention until tomorrow morning! Waiting for more instructions... Grammy

    MyDVD transfer to Video Wave

Thanks for your help. I decided the work around was too complicated for me and I just entered all the photos in Video Wave from scratch. I really appreciate your help and letting me know that the transfer couldn't be done--that way I could quit trying to find the easy way out! It took some time to get them in the right order, but it's done now! On to the next step--figuring out how to pan and zoom all photos without having to do each individually! Thanks again, Grammy

MyDVD hold last photo longer than the rest

Thanks so much for the info and the link to the tips site. You have some great info there and I'm definately going to use that for the scrolling text on the last slides of my DVD! I really appreciate all your help! I've posted the other two questions in seperate posts since you've already helped me figure out I need to use Video Wave. I've been working on a sample DVD in Videowave today and it's coming along! Thanks again, Grammy
  15. I'm new to Video Wave and wondered if there is a way to apply the pan and zoom feature to all photos at once instead of doing each photo individually. I really appreciate your help! Grammy
