We regret the inconvenience and the issue was unintentional which has been resolved. Please check your PM. Thank you for your patience. Regards Himanshu
  2. Hello Dave, What part of the EMC 8 Suite prompts you with the mentioned error? Do you have any other Roxio/Sonic product installed in addition to EMC 8 Suite? Could you provide more information to help you assist with this issue. Was this a download ESD purchase or Retail CD purchase? Regards Roxio Technical Support
  3. It is not possible to copy shows recorded from networks which broadcast using CGMS-A copyright protection. Most broadcasts are not copyprotected. HBO is a network which does use this protection. A CGMS-A copyrighted media can only be viewed on the same device that it was recorded on hence MyTV ToGo is not able to convert these shows. For more information see http://www.hbo.com/corpinfo/faq/cgmsfaq.shtml
  4. This can be caused by missing or corrupted MyTV ToGo files or registry entries. Generally this is caused by programs running on your computer that block registry updates or file copy operations such as Ad-Aware, Ad-Watch, Spybot and Windows Defender. Try disabling (or uninstalling) these programs and reinstall MyTV ToGo.
  5. 1. Setup MyTV ToGo for your mobile device and manually convert a TV show to ensure that everything is working spiffy. For more detail on configuring your device follow a link below: Pocket PC/Smartphone: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=6163 Apple Video iPod: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=6165 Sony PSP: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=6166 2. Run MyTV ToGo and select Settings | ReadySync to access the Readysync options. 3. If you want to convert all new shows as soon as they are recorded by Media Center (or imported to your PC via TiVo Desktop software) then select "ReadySync turned on, automatically convert all new shows." If you only want to convert a particular series then select "ReadySync turned on, only convert these series shows" followed by the series shows that you which to automatically convert. The list of shows is taken from current shows that you already have recorded as well as shows that you have scheduled for recording in Media Center. If a series does not show up then go into Media Center and select that series for recording and run MyTV ToGo again. 4. Press the Save button and exit back to the main menu. You will be prompted, "ReadySync will now automatically convert recorded TV shows for you. ReadySync can also begin converting your existing shows, would you like to do that now?" If you select 'yes' then ReadySync will automatically convert all existing TV shows in your Recorded TV folder. If you select 'no' then ReadySync will only start converting new TV shows from this point forward. 5. When you are not running MyTV ToGo, ReadySync will automatically watch for newly recorded TV shows. You can watch the ReadySync status on the lower taskbar in the lower right corner. Double-clicking on the green ReadySync icon will open a ReadySync dialog where you can get status, cancel the current ReadySync conversion, or open MyTV ToGo. 6. ReadySync will automatically convert your shows so they are ready to quickly copy to your mobile device. To copy your ReadySync converted shows to your mobile device simply connect your mobile device to your PC, run MyTV ToGo, and select the "Ready ToGo" button. You will see a list of converted shows ready to be copied to your mobile device (note, You will only see shows that have been converted by ReadySync and have not yet been copied to your device). Select the shows you wish to copy and press the 'copy' button. Your TV shows will quickly and easily be copied over to your mobile device. Notes: When you open MyTV ToGo and manually convert a TV show then you will cancel the current ReadySync conversion.
  6. 1. Insert your memorystick into your Sony PSP then plug your PSP into your computer using a USB cable, power on the PSP and put it into USB-mode. [see the PSP documentation for details] At this point you should see a new Windows drive letter displayed. Make sure there's a folder named MP_ROOT\100MNV01 and MP_ROOT\100ANV01\ on the new PSP drive. If there's not then you can find more information on creating the folder here http://mytvtogo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15 2. Install MyTV ToGo. 3. Run MyTV ToGo either as a Media Center Add-in (Media Center | More Programs | MyTV ToGo) OR as a Windows XP stand-alone program (Start | All Programs | MyTV ToGo) 4. The first time you run MyTV ToGo you will be taken to the Settings screen. From "Select Video conversion type" select "PlayStation Portable PSP" 5. From "Select video conversion quality" select either Compatible, Good, Better, or Best depending on the quality (and resulting size) of the video file that you would like. Compatible will create the smallest video file with the lowest quality while Best will create the largest video file with the highest quality. The Good setting is a balance between file size and video quality. You can return to the Settings screen anytime to update this setting based on your current needs. 6. From "Select where to copy converted files" select "To portable device" if you want to copy your TV shows directly to your mobile device if your PSP is in USB mode. 7. Press the Save button to return to the main MyTV ToGo screen. 8. If everything is setup correctly then there should be a picture of a PlayStation Portable on the lower left side of the screen and you should see the total free space on the PSP. If you don't see this information then please see step 1 and setup the PSP in USB mode. 9. Select one or more TV shows from the list box and press the "Convert and Copy" button. Your TV Show will be converted and copied directly to your PSP. Note ... TV shows must be renamed in order for the PSP to find them. This is done automatically by MyTV ToGo so please don't try to drag-and-drop a TV show from your hard drive to the PSP drive letter. This will not work and the PSP will not see the TV Show. 10. Once the conversion and copy is complete then you can find your TV show on your PSP under Video | MemoryStick.
  7. 1. Install Apple iTunes software and make sure that iTunes can find your iPod. Verify that you can sync music to your iPod with iTunes. 2. From "Select Video conversion type" select "iPod with video playback" 5. 6. From "Select where to copy converted files" select "To portable device" if you want to copy your TV shows directly to your mobile device using Apple iTunes software. 7. Press the Save button to return to the main MyTV ToGo screen. 8. If everything is setup correctly then there should be a picture of an iPod on the lower left side of the screen and you should see the total free space on the Apple iPod. If you don't see this information then please see step 1 and setup iTunes software. You can also find more information here http://mytvtogo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=108 and here http://mytvtogo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=107 9. Select one or more TV shows from the list box and press the "Convert and Copy" button. Your TV Show will be converted and copied directly to iTunes. 10. Once the conversion and copy is complete then you can find your TV show in your iTunes library. Simply open iTunes and "update" your iPod. Your TV show can be found on your iPod under Videos | Movies.
  8. 1. Either install Microsoft ActiveSync and setup a partnership with your Pocket PC/Smartphone OR insert your storagecard into your storage card writer on your PC. At this point, make sure you can copy files to your Pocket PC or Smartphone using ActiveSync OR directly via a Windows drive letter. For more help see the Microsoft Windows Help file. 2. From "Select Video conversion type" select either "Pocket PC" "Pocket PC VGA" or "Smartphone" depending on the size of your video screen on your device. You can always select a smaller screen size for a larger screen size device (e.g. Smartphone will work with both Pocket PC and Pocket PC VGA). Smartphone is the smallest screen and Pocket PC VGA is the largest screen. 5. From "Select video conversion quality" select either Compatible, Good, Better, or Best depending on the quality (and resulting size) of the video file that you would like. Compatible will create the smallest video file with the lowest quality while Best will create the largest video file with the highest quality.
