Very Fast Compress, Then Popcorn Quits

I run OS X on a non-Intel iMac with 2 GB RAM. Latest version of Popcorn. When trying to burn a DVD of a video_TS folder, Popcorn starts compressing the files, then quits without explanation. The compress procedure shows a total time of about three and a half minutes, which seems very short to me. I tried trashing the Popcorn pref folder, but the problem is still there. I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
  2. I think the only help possible is for Roxio to fix its buggy software and to stop using paying customers as guinea pigs.
  3. Wow. Thank you. It may work, but I think that' more work than I want to do for just copying a DVD.
  4. The only difference I see is that the one that doesn't work has at least three languages on it in Dolby stereo. Would it help if I chose main audio only? Nope. It still hangs, then crashes.
  5. All I can see inside the Video_TS folder are video files. Nothing marked audio at all.
  6. My Popcorn 3.02 quits only when compressing/burning video TS folders from certain DVDs. After reacing about 20 percent of extraction/compression, Popcorn hangs and eventually crashes. I trashed the Popcorn pref file, but the problem continued. I'm running OS X 10.4.11 on a non-Intel iMac. I'd be grateful for any help.

    Popcorn 3: Are They Joking?

I strongly suggest that Roxio revise Popcorn 3 to make the user interface much simpler and straightforward. Was there any user experience research conducted on the new version? There is also another delight in version 3. When you start processing a new DVD burn, the timing counter goes UP for the first five minutes or so. I thought they'd licked this annoying issue in version 2, but here it is again. Popcorn 2 does all I need and should have served as a paradigm for future revisions.

    Popcorn 3: Are They Joking?

I tried to burn a blank DVD disk yesterday the same way I had always done so with Popcorn 2, but I could not get it to work. I kept getting a message saying how my video files took up too much space and could I delete some. This never happens with the previous version, which compresses everything quite well. Was Roxio playing a joke on us with the new version? It is totally confusing to use, does not work well and has a really lousy, non-intuitive usr interface. I, for one, am taking advantage of the 30-day refund option.

    Re-Downloading Popcorn 3

Well, as I was downloading Popcorn 3 my computer crashed. I tried entering my order number and other details at the appropriate page, but it told me there was no such order number. Huh? My PayPal account certainly was charged in a timely manner. How do I re-download the software?
