As a result of reading many helpful suggestions in the community, I have learned how, in VideoWave8, to convert MP4 to MP3 files, to place songs onto the music, narration and sound effect tracks, and then edit them. Looping, positioning, volume and fading work wonderfully. I have overlapped the tracks a few seconds, in hopes of getting them to cross fade. When I have placed songs on the same track, there is a significant gap in the timeline between them. My video is a combination of stills and silent video clips (8mm converted).
However, I cannot get audio to play from the very start of my video. Yet, when I stop playing and position the cursor further into the track, the sound comes on, plays to the track's end, but the next track won't play. Generally the tracks will play when I start in the middle, however, someimes a track won't play at all. If I save & reopen it works again, playing from the middle.
I'm stumped. I can't find any mute buttons that are on. I have a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz w 1 GB of RAM, Windows XP Pro, 2002. I recently upgraded my EMC8 Suite to the DeLuxe suite, however it occaisionally freezes if I do too many edits in a session, so I frequently save the file and reopen if it freezes. If I'm editing intensely, I will sometimes reboot my Dell Dimension between back-ups.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
