    Creating a Video Loop

Finally, I have 2 chapters in this birthday movie. If I decide to play both in a single loop and want to go on and on to infinity, I have chapter 1 "go to" the chapter 2 and chspter 2 go back to the first. works marvelously.

    Creating a Video Loop

That was very quick. Thank you. I found everything you suggested. I have 2 chapters on this disk. i will have 2 DVDs playing the 2 different Chapters round and round via this linking methodology. My only question: How do you stop it?

    Creating a Video Loop

I have created a video for a birthday party, about 10 minutes long. I would like it to play over and over. I couldn't find anything in the help center, but then I haven't read it all. Is this possible to do in EMC8, DeLuxe Suite?

    Audio Track Synchronization in VideoWave8

Can I extract just a panel's sound, rather than going thru media mgr and searching for the section I want?

    Audio Track Synchronization in VideoWave8

the answer, on my computer, is WAV vs MP3 files. Both were downloaded from CDs using EMC8. I could not edit MP3 versions of the same song, but no problem with WAV versions. I also found that when I replaced MP3s with WAVs, I had the same problem, but when I started a new production, they were editable. Do you know how I clean up the sound on the native track of a video?

    Audio Track Synchronization in VideoWave8

I will answer myself on this issue, altho I still have found now fix. The problem arises because, in my case, EMC8 Deluxe Suite does not consistently add background audio files whereby the audio editor has full capabilities to edit. I was able to add one file where the music plays in the editor. In all other cases, the music does not play in the editor and, for some reason, this limits the file's ability to transfer from one track to the next, or from one sound file to the next. I've tried all means of installing the background music with full editing capabilities, but have not been abel to find an answer. Anyoone else encounter this problem?
  8. As a result of reading many helpful suggestions in the community, I have learned how, in VideoWave8, to convert MP4 to MP3 files, to place songs onto the music, narration and sound effect tracks, and then edit them. Looping, positioning, volume and fading work wonderfully. I have overlapped the tracks a few seconds, in hopes of getting them to cross fade. When I have placed songs on the same track, there is a significant gap in the timeline between them. My video is a combination of stills and silent video clips (8mm converted). However, I cannot get audio to play from the very start of my video. Yet, when I stop playing and position the cursor further into the track, the sound comes on, plays to the track's end, but the next track won't play. Generally the tracks will play when I start in the middle, however, someimes a track won't play at all. If I save & reopen it works again, playing from the middle. I'm stumped. I can't find any mute buttons that are on. I have a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz w 1 GB of RAM, Windows XP Pro, 2002. I recently upgraded my EMC8 Suite to the DeLuxe suite, however it occaisionally freezes if I do too many edits in a session, so I frequently save the file and reopen if it freezes. If I'm editing intensely, I will sometimes reboot my Dell Dimension between back-ups. Would appreciate any suggestions.

To EMC 8 DeLuxe Suite Users: A question

So using your installation of EMC8 Deluxe, when you apply brightness and preview it, the entire clip or production is brightend equally throughout the clip/production?

    Sound Effects: DeVoicer

Try removing Dylan's voice from what sounds like a guitar and one voice. They were probably recorded on one track. Dave, I figured that was the case, but thanks for making me certain of the possibility.

    Sound Effects: DeVoicer

I would like to remove the voice completely from some songs on CDs, i.e. Dylan, Phil Ochs, The Beatles, and just use the instrumental as background for a slide show/video. I tried WAV, MP3 and WMA copies of a few songs, but, unless I'm doing something wrong, the deVoicer leaves portions of the voice and sounds pretty awful. (I found no references in the Roxio Community to deVoicer.) Is there a way to copy just the instrumental track from the original recording, or lift the instrumental track from, say, an MP3 file? Is anyone aware of another program that might do is?

To EMC 8 DeLuxe Suite Users: A question

Thanks for your specific response. Can't say it was exactly every time but certainly short. I'll check it out on a few. Before my initial posting, i went into Time or Storyline and the layers to see if there was a way to extend and there's no indicator/bar. Nothing. There I noticed the 10 sec length. Does Deluxe have a "brightness" overlay layer (an indicator of the brightness or contrast or Hue), showing timeline and level of intensity, both of which i assume you can change?

To EMC 8 DeLuxe Suite Users: A question

i do appreciate all your help and will buy the upgrade. $20 is much less than the $99 I was quoted. I have a disk-loaded version. I have tried to get on-line fixes/upgrades at the Roxio site but none work with the version on disk that I bought by mail. Using the split is a good idea and will do so when I get an application that lasts longer than 10 seconds. I have a load of old 8mm and capturing inidividual dark sections seems pretty time consuming, especially if some aren't good for final inclusion in a video.

To EMC 8 DeLuxe Suite Users: A question

For my version of EMC8 Suite, it is definitely not the case. I would appreciate others' feedback on this subject. I do not necessarily want brightness applied to an entire clip. Do you have DeLuxe Suite, and can you apply brightness to only one section of a clip, in the same way you can use the sliders in the Preview of a Video Effect to specifically "effect" a portion of the clip?
  15. I have Creator 8 Suite, not Deluxe. I use it primarily to create DVDs. I have many old 8mm conversions, some of which are dark. I need a way to lighten various sections of the digital video files that I've created. In VW8, I can Add Video Effect and select Insert To Track, and a Preview Effect comes up where I can extend or shorten the portion of the track to which the video effect is applied. I want to do the same with brightness. However, when I change brightness from 50 to, say, 70 in Preview, it plays for only 10 seconds and then reverts to the original level. I have looked everywhere but cannot find a way to extend this effect beyond 10 seconds. What am I missing? I would buy EMC8 Deluxe if I can specifically define a level and location for brightness. Could anyone tell me if this is possible in EMC8 Deluxe? Your help would be much appreciated
