  1. Can anyone help please. I have about 180 small video clips from a Canon HD camera .MOV and just realised the clips are not compatible with Videowave as the sound speeds up and I only get half the sound in the clips. However, I have tried to convert all the .MOV files to MPEG 2HD in AVC but I cannot see this file ending in the AVC after downloading it onto my Windows 10 64bit. I have tried using DivX Plus Converter to try and get them converted to MKV but I get an error code 140? I am now stuck, would appreciate anyone's help on how I can get this files converted without losing any quality of course and getting them into Videowave. Thanks. Sylvia
  2. Hi there. So i figured out that when I updated my iTunes to the latest version this is when I lost my transitions. So I uninstalled iTunes and Roxio, then installed Roxio again and everything is up and running nicely again. However, now I’m wondering whether I can download the older version of iTunes now and hoping it won’t disturb Roxio again. Thank you for your help. Sylvia
  3. Dear All. Thank you so much for all your great advice. I managed to convert all the files to mkv with DixX plus converter and everything was working fabulous, however, now I find that I cannot put any transitions in, the whole window is empty. Just wondering whether it would be a good idea to remove Roxio and then re-enter it. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks so much. Sylvia
  4. Hi there. I don’t actually have the SD Card or the camera. I only have the video clips. Thanks.
  5. Hi there, Wondering if anyone can help. I have been having an issue with Videowave for a while now. After importing videos and photos into Videowave and editing them with crops and zoom in/out etc., they start to fade away and you cannot see the picture. It usually takes a day or two for them to fade out completely whereby you just cannot see what picture of video has been inserted in that square unless you actually click on it and be able to see it in the larger window above. This is very frustrating when I have to put them in sequence order as I just cannot see what they are unless I click on every single icon/square. I have attached two images, one of the faded out squares and one of a recently imported video that has no fade, but will become faded tomorrow. I am using Windows 10, just recently, but have been using Windows Vista for many years and still had the same problem on the Vista. Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. Oh my apologies, yes, screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 on an ACER K242HL monitor 24" I was using a BENQ at 2560 x 1440 resolution and same problem, small windows. I must say about 10 days ago I changed the DP to 150% and the Videowave DID enlarge it's windows, however, after changing it back to 100% that night and trying to increase it again the following day, it DID NOT enlarge the windows this time, just the wording as you will see in the picture attached. I did speak to Customer Service at Roxio and they said it was a Windows 10 issue?? So frustrating as it's so hard to edit anything with such a tiny window to work on. Thanks again.
  7. Yes, have tried changing it to 150% and higher but this only enlarges the wordings in the program nothing else and of course the rest of the computer.
  8. Wow!!! Thank you so much d_deweyright. Yes, I deleted the .dat file and all the images came back, THANK YOU!!! (I thought I'd posted this message already but didn't see it, so posting again, sorry if it comes through twice) Thank you Jim_Hardin too for all your help. Still having problems with the scale of the windows in the Roxio Pro 12 though. Using the program on Vista the windows are much larger, especially when editing music and pan and zooming, however, on my Windows 10, when I go to edit a photo/video the window that comes up is so small, I can just about work on it. I have attached two images. Thanks again everyone for your help. Sylvia
  9. How funny, it's the only W10 certified version yet the Roxio 2012 runs much better on Windows 10 and has much more available. Plus they both come up VERY small to work on. Thanks.

However, I had to send it back as the program was nowhere near as good as the Roxio Pro 2012, as far as things it can do in Videowave. I was very shocked actually. Also noticing, that the windows in the Roxio programs are much smaller with Windows 10, they used to be much larger in Vista. This is making it very hard to edit each photo/video as I cannot see them very well when the edit window comes up. I have spoken to Roxio CS about this and they do not seem to know why this is happening. I have tried to change the percentage to 150% and 175% on my monitor but this only touches everything else on the computer and only makes the WRITING in Roxio larger not the windows. Thanks. Sylvia

Wondering if anyone could help please. I am having problems with my graphics card and my Roxio Creator 2012 Pro. Each time I try to edit a video it runs very very slow and jumps and won't even play properly so that I can edit, then the whole thing gives up and I get the "not responding". I have a Dell Inspiron 531S, Vista 32 bit. Graphics chip set NVIDIA Geforce 6150SE nforce 430. Unfortunately, there is no way to call Roxio and have a conversation with somebody so hoping someone might know how I can fix this problem. Would I need a new graphics card? Can I even put a new graphics card into this computer? I am a little lost : ( Thanks. Sylvia

Yes exactly the same. Nothing has changed at all. Thanks

I tried the repair three times and it is much better as far as editing and messing around with it, much faster too, however, when I press the play button the sound is great and plays well but the movement of the video is VERY SLOW and laggs behind. I have to actually save the project and render it then play it in windows media to see the final product. I cannot play the final product inside Roxio. Very frustrating. Myguggi.... I also thought that but then why did Roxio 2010 work okay on this computer? Just thinking, if this really is the case would it be best to uninstall the Creator 2012 and reinstall Roxio 2010? Thanks guys.

Okay so I have tried the repair once more and nothing has changed. I am in the process of doing it again. However, just noticed on my desktop that I have Sonicfire Pro 5 icon. Could this be interfering with this? Not sure if it came with this Roxio Software or the last Roxio 2010 Software that I uninstalled last year. Perhaps it has nothing to do with it but thought I would ask. Thanks.

Oh really!! It takes a few times?! Great, well I will try that again then because it did help a little. Thanks again.

Thank you REDWAGON that is my hubby singing his heart out! JIM_HARDIN I converted the mpeg4 to wmv and then tried editing. I had no jerking and it seemed to allow me to do what I wanted to do. I did get the "not responding" a few times if I worked too fast. I had to do everything very slow as if waiting for it to catch up, if that makes sense. Guess I will have to do everything the long way around! At least it's allowing me to do the editing now, thanks for that, just very slowly! I don't think there is any other solution, buying a better computer perhaps .

Hi guys, sorry for the delay, been a busy bee. Yes, I did try and update the Quick Time and that's all updated already and no change to Roxio. Okay here is the download on Yaa.im for you to look at, or poke with a stick! ha! http://yaa.im/bfe4c4676e28e011 Yes, seem to be getting same problem with HD files. I recorded some HD videos on my camera and tried to edit them on Roxio and same thing happened, slow, jerky etc. I must say, since the Dell diagnosics the videos have not been as jerky but still running very slow and getting the not responding but it corrects itself after a while and continues, it doesn't close the program as before. Also I just had to shorten the above attached video as Yaa.im only allow 100MB and the video was 150MB and it seemed to behave a little faster with the rendering, again, not too sure if that's the Dell diagnosics or because it's a smaller size video. Thanks again. Sylvia

Exactly as Jim_Hardin told me to do. I used the wmv files and they were much faster and seemed to work well with the program, however, whenever I use a mpeg4 (Quick Time movie) I have the problem of slooooow, jumpy and then the "not responding". Thanks.

Wow! That seemed to behave MUCH better, it even let me play the video whilst in the editing window! The rendering was much quicker, normal even. Do you think there could be a problem with perhaps the Quick Time installed on my computer? Interesting? Thanks.

Yes you are correct, sorry for being a little sparse on my answering : ), I’m not that great with computers but I did manage to do the Dell Update. I ran a diagnostic test on the Hardrive and on most of the options, including slow performance and system performance and I’m pleased to say everything passed, i.e.: Hard Drive: Funnel seek test, linear read test, linear read test 2 Memory – System Memory: Advanced pattern test CPU – AMD Athion 64 X2 Dual Core Processor: Stress test, Register Test, Level 2 Cache test Memory – System Memory: Advanced Pattern Test When it came to VIDEO CARD NVIDIA – it said: Fixed Transformation & Lighting Test, passed and Primary Surface Test, passed. It said I had 55% Hardrive, 61% Memory. It did come back with one error which said the clock and time zone were incorrect and that I needed to correct this and start again, however, the clock and time zone WERE/ARE correct so I didn’t know what to do there. Regarding the source file and output file. They are both the same file properties, Quick Time videos file ending in mpeg4 and output to the same mpeg4. I did try changing the Software to Hardware and there is no difference there unfortunately. I did try the copy and convert from the same source to the same output and that was very slow too, I have spoken to NVIDIA and they said that my graphics card is not something that can be changed as it’s built into the components. They did say it was probably not powerful enough for Roxio but at the same time, I have used Roxio 2010 with this computer a few years back and had no problems. I’m not too sure how to update the firmware and it sounds a little scary to me in that I could actually do more harm than good. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry forgot to say, it took almost 20 mins to render a 5 minute video. I do have a 40 minute video to edit can you image the agony!
