Sorry about that. How do I find out the Manufacturer's ID?

No, CloneDVD isn't running in the background. I've just downloaded and installed the open source program, CDBurnerXP and I can burn the DVD+Rs with that, so it looks like I'll have to stick to using that program until I use all my DVD+Rs and I'll go back to DVD-Rs. It would be nice to get Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate working with these discs, but I'm glad that I can get by without it. Thank you to everyone who made suggestions for me.

I downloaded the most recent firmware version from here: http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/supportservice/...cs/ad7170s.html , but when I went to install it, the installer showed that I already had the latest version.

Both the primary and secondary IDE controllers were already set to "DMA if available". I don't see how it can be a problem with the drive or the discs. The discs always burn successfully with CloneDVD and always fail with Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate. Does anyone have any other suggestions please?

  7. Hi, I just bought a 100 pack of Verbatim DVD+R discs. Whenever I try to burn them with Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate, I get the following error: There was a problem writing to the disc. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready. I also have CloneDVD installed and the new DVD+R discs work fine with that program. Please can someone tell me how I can stop this error from occurring? Thanks, Anthony

    Support Tickest On Roxio.com

Hi, I've been trying to update a support ticket at Roxio.com for a few days now, but I always get an error. Does anyone know what's going on. Here's the error I receive: Server Error in '/' Application. The state information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: The state information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted. Source Error: The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL: 1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example: <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %> or: 2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application: <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true"/> </system.web> </configuration> Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode. Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario. Roxio Cineplayer

Roxio support wasn't too helpful, but I have now managed to stop the installer popping up all the time. What I did was download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 , install it and remove the reference to Roxio Cineplayer [5.0]. Now everything's fine.

    Roxio Cineplayer

After many hours of trying, I've finallly managed to get Roxio Media Creator 2009 reinstalled (don't ask me how). And guess what, I've got exactly the same problem as before. The Roxio CinePlayer installer constantly pops up whenever I use Windows Media Player or access my external hard drive. Does anyone have any other ideas?

    Roxio Cineplayer

I'm using Windows XP Professional SP3. I uninstalled .NET 3.5 using a program called Perfect Uninstaller in which it appeared as an entry along with all my other software. I've reinstalled it now along with it's service pack.

I tried unistalling .NET Framework 3.5, but I still got the same error from Roxio. Thanks for your advice anyway.

Yes, I did show hidden files to make sure I got rid of everything.

    Roxio Cineplayer

I've tried following the instructions here: http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/WinOnCD/000...R?set-locale=en I've also tried clearing my temp files. What else should I try to get the software reinstalled? I really need to get it working again as quickly as possible.

    Roxio Cineplayer

Gspot didn't indicate that I needed any codecs, but I'm not certain that I was using it correctly. The Roxio CinePlayer installation box popped up whenever I opened anything in Windows Media Player and whenever I opened my external hard drive in Windows Explorer. I tried uninstalling Creator 2009 and got an error code 0652. Creator 2009 didn't fully install, but it did leave it unusable. I've just tried reinstalling from the original disc and got the error code 000D, so now I can't use the software at all. I've tried installing with no other programs running, restarting and cleaning the registry with CCleaner, but nothing helps. Please can you advise what I should do to get the program installed again as I use it a lot? Thank you.
