    Help Selecting A New Computer

Thank you! That is sort of what I thought. The price on this computer was $1,099 without the BluRay. I think I am going to go ahead and buy it. I appreciate your input since I don't know anyone that does any video editing.

    Help Selecting A New Computer

I just had a chat with Dell. I am thinking I would rather put my $$$ in the power than the size of the box. They have the XPS 8500 with 12 GB Ram, 3rd Gen i7 Processor, 2 TB HD with a dedicated NVidia GT 64 1 GB GDDR5 Graphic Card. I am not sure I need a Blue Ray Disc Burner but I can add that for another $150. Does this sound powerful enough not to crash my Roxio all the time?

    Help Selecting A New Computer

Well, lets start with sky is the limit! My computer is soooooo old, I want to replace it with something worth replacing it with. I would like to keep it under $2,000.

    Help Selecting A New Computer

I am going to purchase a new desktop computer. I do a great deal of vidio editing and love to make productions that are 1 hour or more long. I have a Sony DVD Handicam with HD surround sound and several other cameras with limited video capability. What specs should I look for that will run my video editing programs without any problems? I like to use special effects, music, transitions, etc. Thank you in response for your input!

Confused About All The Different Formats

Thanks. I actually do a lot of editing, add music, text, overlays and transitions. I am pretty handy with Videowave for my productions, I am just a little confused with the formats for rendering and burning on this new program. Also, I post on Youtube and Facebook with my videos and I have yet to figure a way that works best for that with all the choices. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Confused About All The Different Formats

You are right, I was confusing the "all". I wish I could tell you how I burned that DVD, all I remember is it took all night! I had no idea what I was doing so I just selected one. I better start taking notes from now on so I know what works and what doesn't. I think it was an AVCHD?

Confused About All The Different Formats

Thank you! That was what I was looking for. My computer specs are in my signature. I did render one movie in AVCHD then did an ISO at HQ, it played on my blue ray beautifully! The only problem is I sent it to my sister and it didn't play at all on her DVD player. I appreciate the idea to use "All", I was not sure that would work.

Confused About All The Different Formats

I am talking about what do I select under "Purpose" and "Video file quality" when I render. If I select "All" for "Purpose" will it work for Blu Ray, DVD and Youtube? Under "Video file quality there are around 50 choices...what is the difference between all these different formats, is there someplace that explains it? I could not find it in my User Guide or on line...unless I am blind and it is right there under my nose and I am missing it. Then again there are so many choices when I burn too. Can I render with Blu Ray and burn as a DVD? I don't have a Blu Ray burner...just a Blu Ray player.
  11. I am confused about all the different formats for Rendering and Burning my video to a DVD. I want the best quality possible that will not only play (wide screen) on my Blu Ray player but alsoon an older DVD player. Is this possible? Sorry for all the stupid questions but this program seems so much more complicated than my old Easy Media Creator 9. Thanks!

    Dvd Menu Not In Widescreen?

Thank you! That is exactly what happened. This is just a little different than the old version I had, it will take some getting used to it.

    Dvd Menu Not In Widescreen?

I am sorry if this has been addressed before but I searched and could not find my question. I just purchased Creator 2010 and have overall been very pleased. I have run into one issue though, even with my video in widescreen the menu page on MyDVD is not. I do not see anyplace I can change the aspect ratio for the menu, is this possible? Thanks!
  14. I am trying to render a slide show and I have no idea why I am getting this message: "Error Unable to build the render graph". I made a slide show just as I have many times, any ideas?

Access To The Message Board Not Working On My Other Computer

I have no idea what happened but now I can log in! I had to uninstall my anti virus program, now it is back installed and here I am on my HP! Sometimes you just have to wait and the problem will fix itself I guess. Thanks for your responses.
