    Burning time using MYDVD Express

Thanks for info although I don't understand what you mean by only some parts require encoding as t all the files come from the same source ie recorded tv programs using Microsoft media center and all of the same file type. Excuse me if I sound ignorant but my knowledge of how all this works is very vert limited

    Burning time using MYDVD Express

I have noticed that if when encoding, a grey screen with the logo MPEG appears in the small screen the encoding appears to be quite good but, however, if the screen is showng the vidseo being recorded the encoding takes forever. this seems random. Is there any way to make the program run with this grey screen every time as the finished dvd is exellent?

    No Audio When Burning Dvd

I have suddenly lost the sound when making a dvd from a recorded tv program. I'm pretty sure its not the burning software as I have tried burning with Easy media creator 10 and ConvertXtoDvd. The picture quality is exellent but no sound. If I play the files on computer before burning everything appears ok. This has suddenly happened yesterday and the first thing I tried was sysytem restore with no luck and I've burnt dozens of dvd before with no problem. has anybody any ideas as to what might be causing this problem many thanks for any help.

    Burning time using MYDVD Express

today I tried burning 3 no. videos each about 900 gb to one dvd and no problems, took about 2 hours from start to finsh encoding from pal to ntsc format. I later tried burning a 2gb video, same old problen took about 1 hour to encod about 10%. I cant understand it, as all videos are from the same source ie Windows Media Center and exactly the same procedure is used to make dvd EMC10. Help

    Burning time using MYDVD Express

I don't think it is anything to do with the actual burning of the disc , more a matter of the very slow encoding. When I first loaded emc10 everything worked ok with an encoding time similar to emc9 however after a short time I encountered this problem. I uninstalled 10 then reinstalled it. The actual program appears to be working satisfactory apart from this encoding problem. I havn't bothered to try the process through as it takes an hour to encode about 10% of a 60 minute video. When encoding to NTSC or pal the time appears to be the same. I.ve tried burning using Nero 8 with no problem, it's just that I prefered in the past using EMC and I don't like being beaten after paying out for the version 10..

    Burning time using MYDVD Express

just loading the recorded file into MYDVD express when prompted the program converts it to mpeg I then burn to dvd. This dvd is to my dvd player that I have also its ok on my sons player in America. I think the encoding is taking the time but on EMC 9 this didn't seem to be a problem, in fact the first time I used the new EMC10 the file took much the same time to burn as the previouse version 9 and no the times I am stating are from when I press the burn button

    Burning time using MYDVD Express

I have unistalled emc10 and reinstalled it. Everything works ok apart the length of time it tales to burm a dvd. it takes about one hour to burn 10% of a i hour mpeg video. I am recording a tv program using Microsoft Media Center which ceats a dvr-ms file which emc easily converts to mpeg2 proir to burnong to dvd. I previously used emc9 which took approx just over a hour to burn a 60 min video. At the moment this program is absolutely useless to me but I would really like to overcome this prblem, has anybody any ideas? all comments would be gratefully recieved

    burning an npg file

I havn't been asked about activation of mgeg files, how do I do it?. I did notice that in the properties lable for Windows Media file compression was labled Roxio MPEG Video Decoder whereas in the Movie clip recorded in Wintv it states compression MPEG Audio layer 2. I'm afraid I'm way out of my depth and have no idea what that means. I had a look at the GBPVR website and the only Hauppage pvr were identified with no mention of DVB-T cards so I'm not sure if I would be able to use it.

    burning an npg file

I have a pre installed Media creator 9 on my computer and it works great when used in conjuntion with Windows media center. I can burn Windows movie (dvr-ms)files which I recorded with media center with no problems, however I'm having trouble with my media cennter EPG so I recorded a tv program using Hauppauge software leaving me with a file called Movie clip(mpg). When I tried to burn this to a dvd I get the following error message " The file you are trying to use cannot be edited, and has not been added" Has anyone any idea what this means. I only want to DVD Video, it doesn't seem a very technical thing to do but then I am totally ignorant about this matter. any suggestions would be grateefully appreciatd
