  1. Thanks for the suggestion but it is not letting me get as far as signing in so I don't think that is it but I will give it a shot. Since posting I have tried turning off my firewall and changing the rendering method to software but neither change solved the problem. As soon as I click "Send to YouTube" I get that warning.
  2. I am running Roxio Creator 2012 Pro. When I try to export my video to YouTube I get an error message that says "No Connection to Server Installed. Any thoughts on how I fix this. I have uploaded videos to YouTube before with the same installation without problems but don't seem to be able to do that now. I have tried shutting down the computer and restarting it. My internet is working fine for anything else. I have scanned all the forums and help files and can't find anything on this problem. Thanks for any help.

    Narration Problem

Just as an update the new Mic did not fix the problem. I will try to get back up to Best Buy or Circut city and get a new sound card and see what that does. In the meantime I have some other computers and may try installing Roxio on one of them, recording the narration and trying to import it into my project.

    Narration Problem

Shoot, I just came back from there on my mike search. I will try to get back up tomorrow and pick the creative sound card up. Thanks for the recommendation. I am sure it will be a very worthwile improvement. I have another mike to try. This one is USB, not as good as I hoped to find but the best they had which was not a real big selection.

    Narration Problem

No, the mike I bought at WalMart was a cheapie for $ 9.79. Not powered and just plugs into the mic inlet. My next step is to take a ride to Best Buy or Radio shack and see if I can get a good powered one that uses the USB port. My guess is that it would have drivers packaged with it and that it might solve my problem. I will pick that up tonight and try it out in the morning. If it does fix the problem I will post in case someone else runs into the same thing. It is a desktop compter by the way and not a laptop.

    Narration Problem

Thanks for the link to the tutorial Sknis. That is exactly what I am doing but in Audio Settings I don't have the same choices. Mine are basically rear input, front input and screen input (Sigma Tel High Def Audio Codec) I am not sure what you mean by enabling a mike unless you mean the Audio Settings which I have done. I have tried three different mic's but nothing that was not basically a cheapie. Actually I ran up to WalMart a few hours ago to try a new one. Radio Shack had a better selection the other day and I should have gone there. I checked for any driver updates for my sound card and supposidly the one that is installed is the most current. I have gone into the control panel and checked my volume settings there and it all looks ok. Thanks, I appreciate the help. Any other ideas?

    Narration Problem

I have been working all day trying to get the narration feature in Video Wave to work. The native audio on my project is fine. I was able to put music in on the music track. When I try to narrate my video I am getting just about nothing. I have the volume set to max in Video wave. I do get some movement on the bars but the audio wave in the track is flat. I was able once to get the sound of me tapping on the mic with my fingernails but that is it. I also tried to record in the sound editor and seem to get about the same thing. I have a feeling it is something in my computer which is about a 9 month old mid range computer running Vista. It seems to handle the other Roxio media creator 10 things just fine. My computer seems to hang up too when I try to close out the narration caputure window. Anyone have any suggestions?
