    Video Wave Won't Open

It doesn't provide any error code. It opens to a point where I can see the timeline view and then simply says "Video Wave has stopped working. An error has caused Video Wave to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." G
  2. All of the apps in my version of Creator NXT function except for Video Wave. Each time I open it it stalls and I then get a message telling me that the program has an error and Windows must close it. I have the downloaded version of NXT. I turned off my firewall and anti virus and went through the installation process choosing Repair. Rebooted my computer. No change. My system is Dell Inspiron 1764 lap top Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Intel Core i5 CPU M430 @ 2.27 GHZ RAM: 4.0 GB 3.8 GB usable 64-bit

Near Successful, But Not Quite, Burn

I'm also thrilled when stuff simply works. Yes, I had tried rendering via both hardware and software, and was getting the same non-result both ways. Meaning the task bars went through the entire process, but didn't actually burn a disc. I can see the benefit of the .iso file in that if I need to make additional discs, which often happens with my work, I don't have to render the entire video again, I just have to transfer the .iso file. Still don't get what changed that caused all this, but I'm OK with running things this way. Thanks again. I'm back in good graces with our daughter now that I have her choir's recent performance on DVD for all of them to watch. George

Near Successful, But Not Quite, Burn

I was able to successfully burn by going the .iso route. Thank you very much for your help. More info from my end...I had tried rendering via both software and hardware, no go. I am able to burn a data disc via EMC 10. I reinstalled the EMC 10 software, still can't successfully burn from My DVD or Express. So, what changed? Am I forever committed to burning by the two-step .iso process now? George

Near Successful, But Not Quite, Burn

This is frustrating. Working through both My DVD and DVD Express, I've been trying to burn dvds from a production I made and saved in Video Wave. I successfully burned DVDs as recently as last week. I bring the production in and starting the burn process. The task bars slowly work their way across the screen, and appear to reach their successful ends. However, this typically results in the DVD burner automatically ejecting the completed DVD. This doesn't happen. I have no error message from the software. I also have no data at all on the disc. I've got two external DVD burners. Same problem with them both. I've tried a different brand of DVD, no change. No one but me uses the computer, so settings could not have been changed. Suggestions?

    Invisible Overlay

Great! That did it. Although I updated my video card driver I'm still getting a message from EMC that my card may need to be updated. However, things are working and it looks like I'll be able to get the rough edit done on the project by my deadline. Thanks for the help. George

    Invisible Overlay

Thanks for the advice, but it didn't help. It results in the same problem I had before. The video I want to use as an overlay is visible on the overlay track and can be edited. The red bounding box appears on the color panel. But the bounding box is empty. The overlay is not visible anywhere on my production, although the bounding box is. In other software this would seem like a "Bring to front" or "Send to back" thing, but I don't see that as an option on EMC. Any other ideas?? G

    Invisible Overlay

I'm trying to insert my own video file on a color panel so I can get multiple side-by-side images on the same panel. So..I click on the color panel, Add Video, select my video, and choose to insert as overlay. It shows up on the overlay track and the red bounding box is on the color panel, but there's no image within the bounding box. If I select one of the EMC overlays, it successfully goes into and shows up on the selected color panel. My problem is only when adding my own video as an overlay. My transperency setting on the everlay is 0. When I first used the software I successfully did picture in a picture with this technique, then it went south. Wondering if I inadvertantly changed a setting. Suggestions? Thanks George

    Error 80004003 Dvd Burning

Thanks for the advice. I had already updated to the most current driver. I went to the Nvidia site and e-mailed Support. They told me my card does not support DirectX 9. Any other ideas? George

    Error 80004003 Dvd Burning

My video card is a Nvidia MS Star Force GeForce 4 MX 440. The tower itself has three drives, so I've got plenty of memory. Sorry, I'm not all that computer savvy, so don't have my finger tips on the other specs.

    Error 80004003 Dvd Burning

Help! When burning DVDs in RMC 10, MyDVD, I get an error message in the final step indicating the image didn't burn and was aborted, error 80004003. "Roxanne" indicates this is sometimes caused by the graphics card not being DirectX 9 compatible. My current Nvidia graphics card is not, in fact DirectX 9 compatible, only DirectX 7. Question 1, is there a work-around for this so I don't have to buy a new graphics card? I have updated to the most current driver for the card I have. Question 2, I'm OK with buying a new graphics card if I know FOR CERTAIN it will fix my problem. I'm using an external DVD reader/burner.
