    Burn To Double Layer Dvd

Morning all, Before I go do this and blow an expensive DL disc I figured I would ask the professionals here. Can I fit four 115 minute movies on one double layer disc with compression, or would it be better to do 2 movies on one DL movie without compression? Thanks, Steve

    Importing Camcorder Movies

I used the Roxio USB device and the capture worked perfectly. I am going to give Firewire a shot and see if the quality is any different. Thanks for all the advice. Steve
  5. Morning all, Got a question about importing 8mm movies from a camcorder. I have a Sony Handycam Digital8 camera. It is currently connected via USB to my laptop using the supplied Sony USB drivers. I also have the Roxio USB video capture device. The question is can I take the movies on the camera directly via the USB connection without using the Roxio USB device. Roxio media import does not seem to see my camera, yet the camera is installed and functioning properly in XP device manager. Thanks, Steve

    Burn And Hang

Jim, Will follow the clean install process but could you give me a little more to go one with regards to what do you think happened? Thanks, Steve

    Burn And Hang

Morning all, I am trying to burn an AVI to DVD but each time I start this it begins the process, but stops at 8% and just hangs. The application seems to be still running, as it continues to consume 80% of my CPU. I was thinking maybe this was a DVD burner issue, so I decided to burn to an ISO image file but with the same results. The VideoConvert11 log does not indicate any errors, and I am attaching it here so you can see the results. I do not know what to look for at this time. Thanks, Steve Video Convert Log

    Video Copy And Convert

No worries...sorry if I wasnt being clear. I am trying to use Video Copy and Convert to take an AVI file and make a DVD out of it. Once I select an AVI to use there is an Options button on the right side of the dialog box, under Destinations. I click on this and an Options dialog box is presented. Under the DVD section you will see a item for Create a Main Menu. In prior versions I used to be able to select this box and it would create a very basic menu for the DVD. Now this is greyed out. Video Copy And Convert

Hey Jim, I see all the former Roxio 10 geniuses have moved up to the new version! I had all the conditions met, and I even burned a DVD properly. Still no menu selection. Steve

    Video Copy And Convert

When I want to burn an AVi to DVD I used to be able to select a basic menu for the DVD. Now this option seems to be greyed out in 2009. Has anyone seen the same thing, and is there a way to re-enable this? Thanks, Steve

    Saving Menu Styles

Roger that and that is what I will be doing. For everyone's information tech support has officially said its a bug. They have forwarded it to development for additional research. Steve

    Saving Menu Styles

Makes sense but here is the catch. The only reason I go to Videowave is not to edit or manipulate the image but to add music and then edit the music that goes with the image. Should I do all my muisc edits first without the image present, so the image cannot get corrupted, go back to the main menu and then add the image normall? Maybe that will keep things in line. I will try that this morning and report back to all. Steve

    Saving Menu Styles

Walt, The only reason why I did what I did was to add/edit the music to go along with the image. This is the crux of the issue. If there is another way to do that then what is it? I cannot see anyway to go around this. Steve

Now thats not a positive attitude Bruce...lol. You might be right though. Tech support is continually spinning. I remain hopeful. Steve
