Mediahub.exe Error With Sonic Digital Media Plus 7

Update on my quest ...... I spoke with MS as I had a free support token which came in handy. Normally it cost $59.95 for a support session and you pay whether they solve your problem or not. Again, lucky for me I had the free token because I spend 45 minutes on the phone with a gentleman in India who knew only as much as the manual he was reading from. My quest was to find a way to roll back Windows Media Player 11 and hopefully solve the problem with my Digital Media Plus 7. I could hear him turning pages as we spoke and several times he put me on hold to consult with others. Bottom line was that I had already done everything they were recommending, which by the way were very basic. They did not even know about the three options I found at their own website. In the end they told me to contact HP whose computer it was and have them walk me through a non-destructive recovery (that made me shiver). that was their only solution. On the other hand, I spoke with Roxio support and they are actually located in the US. They advised that Easy Creator 10 was built especially to handle the problem with WMP 11. They even recommended a better uninstaller program then windows and the tech also told me how to upgrade my video card. The nice thing was that it did not cost me a dime. Once I complete the process, I will let the forum know if it works.

Mediahub.exe Error With Sonic Digital Media Plus 7

I tried both and still no luck. I even did the following procedure which I obtained from MS and no luck. I cannot uninstall WMP 11. I even got an event number from Roxio however it has been well over 72 hours and no response from them. I don't think either company cares. I spoke with a MS rep and he claims to have never heard of the conflict between Sonic and WM 11. Method 1: Uninstall Windows Media Player in safe mode 1. Start the computer in safe mode. To do this, follow these steps: a. Restart the computer. b. Press F8 while the computer is restarting. c. Click Safe Mode, and the press ENTER. 2. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK. 3. Click Windows Media Player 11, and then click Remove. 4. Follow the prompts to uninstall Windows Media Player 11, and then restart the computer when you are prompted. 5. If Windows Media Player 11 is not removed, try Method 2. Back to the top Method 2: Run a program to remove Windows Media Player 1. Click Start, click Run, type %windir%\$ntUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then click OK. 2. Click Next, and then click Finish.

Mediahub.exe Error With Sonic Digital Media Plus 7

I downloaded that file earlier and installed it, along with all the other patches. Now the Sonic program gets halfway through a burn and stops and I get the mediahub.exe error message again when I close the program. I tried to uninstall Media 11 and I cannot remove it because I get an error message that says a file is missing so it will not let me uninstall Media 11. I even tried using Nero and when I run the program, it keeps telling me to put a disc in the drive (of course there is already a disc in the drive). This is very frustrating.
  4. I have an HP Media Center PC with a DVD Super Multi-Drive. It came loaded with Sonic Digital Media Plus 7. I had never tried to use the DVD Record function until just last month. I also use Windows Media 11. Whenever I try to copy any data to a DVD disc, I get the mediahub.exe error: Mediahub.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x0076215f" referenced at "0x1e2cfbab". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program Mediahub.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: ...ommon Files\Sonic Shared\Sonic Central\Main\Mediahub.exe R6025 -pure virtual function call I have been to the Roxio Forum and tried all of the downloads: http://docs.sonic.com/support/px/pxengine2_08_40d.exe (did not fix the problem) http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...Item=vc-46568-1 (did not fix the problem) http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...eriesId=3232029 (this patch is no longer available) I even tried to roll back Windows Media 11 but because there is a file missing, I cannot roll back to WM 10. So basically I have a DVD/CD writer that will only write to CD and not DVD's..... Can anyone help???? I am at my wits end.
