  1. Ref: Thread at: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=38198 Hi ICC! Say, great job, your settings work, thanks! I do have one small issue, and would like to ask for your help: I have an HP Photosmart D5300 series printer that uses a CD/DVD removable tray. Your setup instructions were great, but I need to make probably two small adjustments. The labels do print out but, they’re off center a tad. If I'm holding the CD in my hand, like to read it, the image is about 1/8" too low and about 1/16" to the left. When my printer prints to CDs or DVDs, the right side of the image is closest to the printer, while in the CD tray.... To fix my alignment, I've tried playing around with the "fine tuning" numbers under the Preferences button, on the Print window, but I’m going through a ton of printable disks. And I'd like to make the change more permanent anyway. What numbers in your two files, would I change in order to move the image up and slightly to the right on my disks? If the disk is mounted in my printer drawer, I guess it would have to move to the left of the printer and down closer to the printer…. I’m I confusing you? Sorry in advance. Hopefully you’ll know what I’m trying to say.  I did run the Calibration function, interestingly enough, I received the same letters you did; ij, ij, j, j, so that makes me even more confused why this isn’t working out perfectly for me. I did try the calibration more then once, but get the same readings each time. Thanks again, Jeff
  2. Well, thank you for all your help.... I know Roxio can't support all printers, but I'm hoping they will add the Photosmart 5300 Series soon. I have been using Roxio products for a long time, and was actually surprised to learn that v10 did not support the HP 5360. I believe the 5100 and 5200 do work with v10, but I guess I'm just out of luck with my printer. I will still use v10 for burning my data to disks, but will look for an alternative software to print on to my CDs and DVDs. Cheers!
  3. Hi, Yes, actually, I have always had the disk loaded. Before the print job tries to print, the printer's LCD screen acknowledges that I have inserted the CD and CD drawer, and is happy at that point. But, after I press "OK" on the PC to start the print job I then get the message on the printers' LCD to insert plain paper. As an added note, I tried an experiment a few days ago, and actually have left a post on a different page about a problem I was having with it. 1. Uninstalled Roxio 10 2. Installed an old version of Roxio Express Labor v3 that came with this HP 5360 printer. 3. Printed to printable DVD no problem!! It worked! So I know I’m loading the CD drawer just fine…. And if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m also having problems with v3 as well, I’d be using v3 right now, and taking back the v10. But, v3 keeps crashing about 50% of the time. Roxio says its too old to support, and HP Corp DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT “OEM” MEANS, AND KEEPS TELLING ME TO CONTACT ROXIO! I’m about done with this whole thing. But if you have any suggestions at this point, that would be cool. And thanks! J-
  4. That’s fine, I do understand, and have followed “all” the instructions from the other post, but when I press “Ok” to start the print, it will not print, period. At that point the HP-5360 has a warning message on its LCD panel that says I must close the CD/DVD drawer. And on the computer screen, it tells me to load “plain paper”. Yes, I have read completely through the other post’s instructions, and maybe I have confused the issue by trying to reply so completely, but, this is the bottom line: After following all the instructions it will not print. V10 appears not to allow me to print to the HP's CD/DVD tray. It may “not matter” if it says "Plain paper" in the Roxio print screen, but it thinks it matters. Help…

    Express Labeler Keeps Crashing

I have both XP Pro SP3 and Vista. The same error shows up on both OS's.
  6. Hi, I have Express Labeler v3, ya I know its old, and this forum is for v9, but it came with my new HP 5360 a week ago. I do have another topic for my newly purchased Roxio EMC10 Label Creator, but we're not getting very far, so I pulled out the v3 that just came with my new Photosmart HP5360 and thought I'd give it a try. But I keep getting the following error: "Application Error. Exception EAccess violation in module dwwin.dll at xxxxx. Access violation at address 0061B192 in module dwwin.dll. Read of address xxxxx." Others have suggested, on the net, that it may be a conflict with the following apps: Desktop Weather from the Weather Channel, or Logitech's SetPoint software installed? But I do not have either. V3 does print about 50% of the time, and the other 50% it dumps me out of itself. Any ideas? I'm striking out on both Roxio Express Labeler v3 and Roxio EMC10!! I'm loosing hope.... HELP!
  7. Hi thanks. I have been and made changes to the printer section and did select print to CD/DVD and selected CD/DVD Tray, etc. The problem is that when I say ok in the printer properties and get returned to Roxio main print window the paper selections still just have plain paper, commercial paper, or print to disk(print to file). I've tried everything but in the end, Roxio keeps trying to print to either plain paper or paper labels. Even if I select Print to CD/DVD for media and use CD Tray in Printer properties, EMC10 still will not print to my printable CDs or DVDs. I've also tried making and editing a Custom Label, but there are no previsions, that I can find, for what tray to use. Only printer properties has a CD Tray selection and I've already selected that. Thanks.
  8. I just purchased EMC10, and have downloaded all updates and patches available. I also purchased an HP D5360 Photosmart. The D5360 came with a CD/DVD drawer to allow direct printing onto printable disks. This printer also came with an older copy of Express Labeler v3. V3 locks up a lot under my XP Pro SP3 and only works about 50% of the time. It also is very limited as to what I can print onto the disks. So, Ii purchased EMC10 which includes a full copy of Label Creator v10. Problem: In Label Creator v10 under File/Print, under Printer; I see my HP Photosmart D5360 listed “HP Photosmart D5300 series", and after selecting it, I can also go into Properties and select “Print on CD/DVD" and make other selections. But, the problem is; under Media I only see "standard paper", "commercial paper", and "print to disk". I've tried all choices but do not see any options to print directly to CD/DVD disks. No mater what I choose, it only allows me to print to CD/DVD paper labels, not to printable disks. I'm currently sitting in front of Roxio Label Creator v10. I have tried other's suggestions but still not working. Just before I press "Ok" to start the print, I still see "Media" "Standard Paper", and "Paper type" with "Letter....". When do these settings get changed? Now, when I continue following the steps above, I'm instructed to press "Ok" to start my print, but this is what comes up: "To ensure the printer aligns properly, we recommend to calibrate HP Photosmart D5300 series printer." "Do you wish to proceed now? If you prefer to do it later, you can select the Calibrate option in Print dialog." "Ok", "Cancel". I trided both, printing an alignment page and not printing one. However, it will only print to "Plain paper," and will not even try to print to my printable CD disk, and gives me an error to insert "Plain paper".... If I try "Cancel," it dumps me out. Apparently it really wants this allignment. So.... I go with the whole allignment thing following the instructions it gives closely, keep in mind that its always having me insert "Plain paper", no printable CDs yet requested. I tried once to force it to use a printable CD for this alignment thing, but it refuses to print to printable CDs, only paper. Now that I'm all done, it tells me to: "Please load Generic (plain paper) for disk (1 sheets) into the printer." "Click ok when you are ready." "ok" or "cancel" If I click "ok", yep; my CD creation gets printed onto plain paper.... If I go ahead and ignore their instructions to insert Plain Paper and I insert my printable CD disk, and click "ok", nothing prints out and my HP 5360 gives me a Pop-Up; warning me that my CC/DVD print drawer is open and to close it. So, I remove my CD and close the drawer and the project gets printed out onto a blank piece of paper. How do I print directly onto printable CDs or DVDs with my HP Photosmart D5360? Thanks! J "dudepctech" p.s. Please-please lets stay on topic, I really want to fix this, thanks!

  10. Hi! Purchased: Roxio EMC10 and HP 5300 Series InJet printer. Problem: Printer shows up, but type of paper does not show "print to CD/DVD disk". Notes: I can select the HP5360, and under printer “properties”: you can select print to CD/DVD, but not in the Roxio printer section in EMC10; only “Plane paper”, “Commercial paper”, or Epson paper. Yes, I can created a “custom template”, but when I send a job to the PhotoSmart HP5360, Roxio EMC10 Label Creator reports that I need to “close the CD/DVD drawer”, and insert “plane paper”. How do I get Roxio to print directly onto a white printable CD or DVD disk using an HP PhotoSmart 5360? Thanks! dudepctech
  11. Yikes!!! Sorry for looking like a "hit and run poster". I've been very busy lately, and just now have had the opportunity to check on my original post. One thing I’d like to add is that, although I understand how to create a custom template, the remaining problem is that when I lower the HP-5360’s CD/DVD printing guide and insert the CD/DVD drawer with disk, Roxio v10 complains and asks me to raise it back up in order to print to “plain paper” or paper “labels” during printing…. How do I tell Roxio v10 to just print to the CD/DVD disk using the CD/DVD drawer? I did follow the above link’s instructions but it didn’t work. Thanks again! Dudepctech
