  1. Every time my computer boots up (windows 7 64 bit) I get 4 instances of this error: \SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\cdrbsdrv.SYS has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver. and 4 instances of this warning: The driver \Driver\cdrbsdrv failed to load for the device SCSI\CdRom&Ven_ROXIO&Prod_DVD-ROM_EMULATOR&Rev_2.00\1&2afd7d61&0&000300. I use Roxio to create virtual CD drives where I have CD content loaded for quick access. The virtual disks are working well. I have searched and can find no copy of cdrbsdrv.SYS on my computer. It appears that some Roxio module is attempting to load this driver which is not even a Roxio driver and I suspect it is the CD Drive emulator. What is going on here? Is there some orphaned entry in the registry from some previous Roxio installation that once used this driver. Even though this doesn't appear to be causing any problem (although I was looking at the log in the first place because of some random reboots) I still like to get rid of errors like this if I can.
  2. I should just give up on this software but when it works it's worth it. How can you get a functional installation without doing a Windows reinstall and a having clean registry. I had EMC 7.5 and 8 installed. I uninstalled them with add/remove. Then following advice from this forum, I deleted roxio folder in program files, Roxio Shared folder in C:\program files\common files, Roxio folder in C:\documents and settings\user name\application data\roxio and the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE AND HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ROXIO entries. When I rebooted I had blue screen crashes which I finally fixed with windows restore to point just after uninstall of 7.5 and 8. Then windows installer kept trying to reinstall 7.5 and 8 until i removed them from the windows installer database. I reinstalled 7.5 and then uninstalled it. I reinstalled 8 and uninstalled it. There were a ton of Roxio folders and files and registry entries which I left. I installed EMC 9 full install. Some parts of the program worked but Creator classic and Tag editor (maybe others) would crash because they couldn't find RXAssetViewdll.dll. I uninstalled 9 and reinstalled all parts of program but to different location, Roxio\Easy Media Creator 9. Same problem again. A search for RXAssetViewdll.dll found 2, in program files\common file\roxio shared in the version 9.0 dll shared folder and the shared dll folder. Renaming the RXAssetViewdll.dll in the shared dll folder solved that problem. Now when I try to use the backup mypc program and try to save or open a backup, I get an error unable to find DRVWDDM.dll. Please Reinstall!! That file is sitting right there in the Program files\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 9\Backup Mypc\System folder, which I guess is where it belongs, but Backup Mypc can't find it. Sorry for rambling on, but I'm stumped.
  3. I am trying to figure out how many minutes or megabites of Divx files you can convert to a compllation DVD and still have reasonable video quality. When you set the output size to dvd+- and the output format to DVD, then no matter how many movies you add to the list the output size remains 4482 meg and the quality excellent. I know this cannot be true. How do you decide?

    Tag Editor Crashes

Just finished installing EMC 9 (after uninstaling EMC 7.5 and 8) While trying differt progams I attempeted to open music file with tag editor. When ever the progam begins to load a file window pops up saying program has to close. All the files I have tried so far are wma so don't know if that is part of the problem.
  5. I have same problem with audio capture. Whenever I stop recording the program has to close . The file is saved however. I had version 7.5 and 8 installed previously but removed them to best of my ability before installing 9. There must be hundreds of old Roxio registry entries left though and I had crash problems when I tried to remove some of them.
