Mydvd: Chapters During Preview Mode Not Functioning

I would have thought that but if I play a regular DVD, lets say "Silence of the Lambs", it plays fine. In any other regularly produced DVD's the computers play the movies just fine. All in all, the software is kinda working for my intended purposes and i'll leave it at that.

Mydvd: Chapters During Preview Mode Not Functioning

Upon final review of the video before I burned it, it still didn't respond how it was supposed to. So I burned the project on to DVD anyways and everything looks like I wanted (strange). But I ran into another problem or rather question. The sound and video doesn't respond well when I play the DVD on a computer (or it could be the software interface being used such as Window Media Center, Creative, RealPlayer). The sound for the main menu seems to play the audio for a second and gives a second of silence throughout the song. This is the second copy that i've done and the second copy that does this on the PC. Although, when I play the DVD on a DVD player, it plays just fine without any audio issues. Can this be corrected? Is it more likely the way that I set it up to burn the project onto DVD?

Even then, when I double click on the chapters on the submenu tree it still doesn't play the designated chapter but rather jumps to the beginning of the movie. The submenu does have a preview window for each chapter and they are showing the correct chapter but when I double click on it, it just plays the beginning the beginning of the movie. I've right-clicked on the different chapters and checked to make sure they are linked to the correct part of the movie.

Mydvd: Chapters During Preview Mode Not Functioning

There appears to have been a lot of activity on the amount of individuals that have read this thread, but no replies. Let me know if i'm not making any sense. Thanks in advance.
  5. I almost have my dvd complete the way I want it, but when I go to the "Preview" mode (where there is a remote control and allows to navigate through the movie/chapters/submenus/etc.) and try to view a certain chapter, it takes me to the beginning of the video as opposed to the chapter it is suppose to play. I've checked the settings on each and every chapter and they all appear to be linked to its appropriate chapter. Has anyone ran into this problem?

    Mydvd:creating Play And Chapters

Nevermind, I just figured it out. Highlite the main menu on the "Project View" menu on the left/go to the drop down menu on the left-top-corner that reads "DVD Menu"/select "Add New Unlinked Button"/right click the new-unlinked-button on the screen and go to "Show Settings"/in the settings menu it gives you an option to create a link to the video.
  7. I've gone through the paper manual and the pdf file manual but can't seem to get an answer on how to create a Menu on MyDVD similar to that of comercial DVD's. I just need to do one thing, create two buttons on the main menu a "Play" button that plays from the beginning of the movie and a second button "Chapters" so it'll take me to the submenus (chapters). I already know how to create the "Chapters" button with a submenu for the different chapters but don't know how to create the "Play" button. If this has already been discussed please point me to the thread, i've gone through several of discussions pages in search for this information and failed to find it. Thanks in advance.

    Capturing Video Issue

Thanks to all for the feedback, I was finally able to download the footage. I downloaded it in 30min files, so now I just need to paste them together. I cleaned the hardrive as much as possible, downloaded the driver from pinnacle, and plugged it in through the back of the PC. Although it did drop one of the recordings during the 5 different captures, in the end it worked.

    Capturing Video Issue

It didn't dawn on me to capture a few snippits at a time. I'll do that! I'm new to this so bare with me guys. I guess I just wanted to put it all on one DVD but I suppose if it has to go onto 2 DVD's, then that's the way it has to be. But the VHS picture isn't all too great but I suppose by cutting the quality digitally that'll just give me that worse of a picture.

    Capturing Video Issue

I'm working on freeing up space as we speak. As of now, i've got 13G of free space. I'm capturing from a VCR and i'm trying to capture 2hr 38min of footage.

    Capturing Video Issue

I was capturing as mpg2, reason being is I don't have much hardrive space left on my pc (about 7 gigs). I did run a disk cleanup and defrag before all of this. I'll be backing up all my files onto a portable hardrive and try it then. I was plugging it to the front of the PC as well, so i'll plug it into the rear now. thanks

    Capturing Video Issue

I'm at my wits end with this software. I installed Easy Media Creator 10 (deluxe edition) on both my laptop and desktop, the software has been giving me problems on both. I'm running XP on both PC's, desktop is a Dell, laptop is a Toshiba (don't know if this helps on explaining some of my troubles). The problem is that on my desktop I'm able to view the video along with the audio just fine and i'm able to start to capture the footage, but it never fails for the software to freeze up. It freezes up at random times during the video recording and locks up to the point that I have to "End Task" on it. I've installed the updates, reinstalled, and uploaded the most recent audio and video card drivers. I just don't know what to do next. Help! Oh yeah, i'm using Dazzle (DVC100) to capture the video.
