  1. Brendon, Thank you for the screen capture and the explanation of the "cleansystem" method, this information was very helpful. I am actually uninstalling a copy of 2012 pro; which I inevitably stuck with after running into many technical problems with NXT Pro 2 back in 2014. A nightmare upgrade at the time; I am hoping NXT 5 goes better. Thanks again, Fredrick
  2. Hello, Having had many upgrade problems in the past, I am hoping someone may be able to answer one or both of my pre-installation questions regarding NXT Pro 5. Back on Track I do not want to install Back on Track and I was wondering if the Roxio Creator NXT5 install shield allows the user to select secondary applications to install or is it all or none? If applicable, can I run the following from an elevated command prompt to exclude installing Back on Track? “setup.exe DisableProducts=BOTPRODUCT_NEC2012,BOTPRODUCT_A64_NEC2012 Mandatory=0” Complete uninstall instructions Based on previous upgrades, the Roxio “Programs and Features - Add/Remove Programs” method leaves behind several hundred registry entries and many files and folders. Should I use the “CleanSystem.bat” uninstall method after uninstalling via Windows (i.e., per the link below)? https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/articles/216689637-Complete-uninstall-instructions-for-Creator-2011-2012-NXT Any help/input will be appreciated. Thank you.
  3. sknis, Definitely selected BR in Creator Classic. I recently upgraded to Roxio Creator 2012 Pro and discovered the BR problem. I have successfully burned to same BR drive and brand of media using Creator Classic from Roxio Creator 2011. No overclocking of anything… running an Intel Core i7 Extreme 980X, 12.0 GB DDR3, and two ASUS GTX 460’s on a multi monitor system with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1. The burner works with Creator 2012 Pro “Burn Data Disc” and ImgBurn without incident, so I am thinking that this problem was introduced with Roxio Creator 2012 Pro but cannot be certain. Creator Classic 2012 crashes as soon as I hit "OK" Thank you.
  4. The standalone Creator Classic from Roxio Creator 2012 Pro will not burn Blue Ray. The Roxio Creator 2012 Pro “Burn Data Disc” application and other software on the computer will burn to the same BR burner and media without problems; however, I need access to the advanced features found in Creator Classic or another program with similar features that works. Burner: BWU-500S (S-ATA) 1.66 firmware (current) This is the error message: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: Creator13.exe Application Version: Application Timestamp: 4e27151d Fault Module Name: Sw20.dll Fault Module Version: Fault Module Timestamp: 4e26e71d Exception Offset: 000a4ea5 Exception Code: c0000417 Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7601. Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 2e1f Additional Information 2: 2e1fb3da077e4861e5ab09b91d7b8ddc Additional Information 3: 3c3c Additional Information 4: 3c3c7a156fbf9688937bd7235f12f9af This is the response that I received from Roxio email support did not help; I have no idea why the agent stated “Video” when I was specifically asking for support with a Data disc: “I would like to inform you that Creator Classic is not a complete version. Creator will not have all the features as in Creator 2012 Pro. Only the complete version will have all features. You will not be able to burn blu-ray videos using Creator Classic. Please use Creator 2012 Pro to burn Blu-ray files.” Any help with the Creator Classic error or a recommendation for a reliable program with equivalent features would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

    How Can I Remove Backontrack?

Larry and Sonic Boom, I just had the opportunity to try the installation again. Running "setup.exe DisableProducts=BACKONTRACK_39,BACKONTRACK_A64_39,BOT_PE_39,BOTAPP_PE_4X,BOTPRODUCT_4X,BOTPRODUCT_A64_4X Mandatory=0" and selecting NO to updates worked without incident. Thank you very much for the help.

    How Can I Remove Backontrack?

Thank you for posting information on how to disable BackOnTrack during installation; it appears to be an ideal solution for my circumstances. Regretfully, I am having some difficulty implementing the solution. I ran the setup from the CD-ROM using the text string posted to the forum (i.e., cut-and-paste), and from an elevated command prompt on a second attempt; BackOnTrack installed during both attempts. setup.exe DisableProducts=BACKONTRACK_39,BOT_PE_39,BOT_APP_PE_4X,BOTPRODUCT_4X,BOTPRODUCT_A64_4X Mandatory=0 I recovered the system from a drive image between individual attempts and I am currently working from an image that does not have creator 2012 installed. Any additional help that you can give me to implement this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    How Can I Remove Backontrack?

How can I remove BackOnTrack? Roxio BackOnTrack crashes when I attempt to disable/configure backup settings and the directory created on my system drive without prompting and/or BackOnTrack conflicts with my current/reliable and full featured drive imaging program. I need to get BackOnTrack off of my system in order to use Creator 2012. I was wondering if anyone has tried running the following built-in uninstallers for Roxio BackOnTrack: Roxio BackOnTrack 32-bit MsiExec.exe /1{729B89D0-946A-407E-Al21-343BD3320C40} Roxio BackOnTrackPE 32-bit MsiExec.exe /1{BD3EAE4D-862D-4D41-813135-F5C2CFFE6022} Conversely, does any know how to remove BackOnTrack after installing Creator 2012 Pro? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  8. I submitted a support request for instructions on how to selectively install Roxio Creator 2012 Pro applications or for instructions on how to remove Roxio BackOnTrack after installation. I received the following response: “I would suggest you opt for "Custom" option while installing the software and you can very well choose the appropriate one you wish to select.” Assuming that Roxio support is knowledgeable and actually read my support request, I do not see any option to select "Custom" during the entirety of the installation process (boxed version), and this statement appears to contradict multiple posts on this forum. Does anyone know of any way to selectively install Roxio Creator 2012 Pro? Conversely, and assuming that the information from Roxio support is inaccurate, does anyone know how to uninstall Roxio BackOnTrack after installation? Roxio BackOnTrack crashes whenever I attempt to disable/configure backup settings and conflicts with my current/reliable and full featured drive imaging program. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

How Do I Turn Off The Advertisements

Thank you for the detailed instructions... Your assistance is appreciated.
  10. Is there a way to turn off the unsolicited product advertisements (i.e., spam) that appear within the EMC 10 GUI? I typically see gaudy advertisement in freeware, and find them annoying in retail products. Thank you…
