    Roxio Nxt Updates

I recently upgraded to "Roxio NXT PRO" and received this message when trying for updates (There is no update for this product), I suppose that what I have installed is IT. Does anybody know if that is the case or is Corel going to make a change later?

    Roxio Products Future?

Is Roxio 2012 the final version of Roxio and/or will Corel have a new version or continue with the Roxio name?
  3. I unistalled and reinstalled Creator 2009 Ultimate and I can't obtain updates any longer. Software Manager informs me that "Download Failed". It indicates that I may not have an internet connection and I know my internet connection is OK. I am operating Windows Vista. Will "Corel" make these updates available once more?
  4. Hi; I have Server Error in '/REDIRECTSERVER' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web> </configuration> Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration> experienced the same problem (see above)and I >r click >and click REFRESH and it goes away. Don't know if that helps or if it cures the problem.
  5. I set for mono recording in LP Assistant. Recorded both sides of LP and then> Stop > Next > Next > Sound Editor. Soon as I was in Sound Editor I noticed the 3 separate recordings. Each one is identical and in exact sequence as recorded. I only recorded once. I use Sound Editor to make all my track editing. I went in and "removed from project" the (2) two extra set of tracks. In Sound Editor it shows as clips and tracks. The clip was the entire 3 recordings prior to removing the extras. It displayed, a total time, somewhere in the area of 154 minutes+ until I removed the extras from the project. I recorded in Mono because it was a Mono LP. I record in Stereo for Stereo LP's. I discovered, I think, that if you need to record a Mono LP in Mono to get the Stereo Effect in "Sound Effects" when changing Mono to Stereo. I tried recording a Mono LP in Stereo and when using the change over Sound Effects I did not notice as great of a Stereo boost in the sound and that is why I use Mono ffor Mono and Stereo for Stereo. I hope You can understand what I just wrote. I think Roxio should have more detail in their instructions. NEW UPDATE: Somehow things are back to working. I went into Advanced Options & configured everything once again and went into "Capture Audio from Sound Card". I found it was configured to "2 channel 16 bit 48000 DVD Quality" I Changed it to "2 channel 16 bit 44100Hz CD Quality". Maybe that was the problem? I really don't know if that made the difference. Everything is working and I can't explain why and now I just have to fine tune the time for track detection. Thanks for the input. I will check it out.
  6. Something just went terribly wrong. When I convert an LP in LP & tape assistant, and reach the ediit portion in Sound Editor, I have (3) three separate copies of my tracks. For example I have tracks 1 to 12 and also 13 to 24 (that are duplicates ofl copies 1 to 12) and 25 to 36 (that are a triplicate of 1 to 12). Sometimes the track is not ending before the silent portions and require adding and removing track separators to have tracks begin and end at the beginning and ending of the track. I have to delete the duplicate and triplicate tracks prior to any serious editing. Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone have an answer to fix it?

Sound Soap to clean up LP's

I am going to try using Sound Soap to clean up LP's. There does not seem to be much in the instruction or direction to take. I am going this route. Roxio > Edit Audio > Roxio Sound Editor > Record LP > Edit Track Information > Export Tracks/Clips > Then into Sound Soap to "open Media" file > doing the clean up in Sound Soap> Then "Save as" in Sound Soap changing the file name by adding number 1 to the name> Dragging the cleaned file into Roxio Sound Editor> adding a new track separator > deleting the original file in Sound Editor> Exporting the clean file and deleting the original un Soaped version in Explorer>. There must be a quicker way to drag and replace. I only applied this to the first track. I have not applied it to an entire LP. This was my first use in this application. Chazz. Sorry, just ignore the above. I put the horse in front of the cart. SoundSoap is a stand alone program. You can do your cleanup directly from within the program.
  8. I have reinstalled EMC10 to clear up a previous problem that appears to be corrected. I have updated EMC10 with the update manager in the help part of the program. I am running Vista ultimate. After updating I receive a dialogue box "Error in executing file. C:\Users etc with a bunch of letters and numbers ending with \DX9RedistsPatch.exe. Description: The operation completed successfully. The problem is that Update Manager still shows that the update needs to be installed. There are 2 updates and one, I downloaded, installs "Virtual Earth". How does Virtual Earth work with EMC10? The other is the error message after installation and being informed that I neeed to instal an update. I have Version 1.0.044 with Build 100B44B,R03 installed. I hope someone has an answer. Thanks, Chazz. It seems as if no one has the answer, so: I have uninstalled EMC10 and upgraded, after uninstalling EMC 10 (Clean Install), to Creataor 2009 Ultimate. I haven't had the opportunity to really try it. It looks good on the surface, with bells, bells and and many whistles. I didn't have any problem with the installation. It sure does take a long time to install the 2 DVD Disks. When I downloaded the update, through the Roxio Software Manager, I could not locate it on my computer. I clicked Download to my Download folder and it did not appear in my download folder. I then tried again and clicked install and it installed with almost the same message, in an error dialogue box, as I received above. "Error in executing file C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\{093EA66-F60C-45EF-9C16-6CA2262E21C4}_734\Creator2009.exe Description: The operation completed successfully" The option to click OK. I clicked OK. All of the number are just a bunch of gobbily goop to me. I kind of figure it somehow went to, a Temporary Folder, something like never never land. Can anyone explain what all of those numbers mean? I somehow, inadvertently, managed to install the update twice. I hope that doesn't create a problem. I found that in order to check your installation you have to click the "Software Manager" in your programs file and click "view your history" and click the arrow to open your download history. It seems you are unable to view your history when clicking updates from within the program. For your information I am running Windows Vista, Ultimate and it may look or work different on WindowsXP or other versions. I am closing this topic and will try my luck with Creator 2009.
